Y/N
"Tell me, Nat." I knelt down in front of him, smiling oh-so-sweetly. "Where are they?"
"Y/N... why are you doing this...?" He questioned, jaw clenched. "Why?! Why are you siding with him?" Lannion yelled from where he sat, and I shot him a glare. I sighed, my mutated eye starting to strain again. "Ugh... must be all of you that my eye hurts..." I tugged my eyepatch off, gasps filling the room. I pulled out an eyedrop, dropping a solution into my eye to soothe it. "Where are 22194, 63194 and 88194, Nat?" I questioned, tossing the plastic aside, before leaning down, my eyes locked onto his. "You know where they are... right?"
Nat gasped, eyes wide with terror. Their eyes locked onto my left eye, black with a white pupil in the middle, glowing.
He looks so fucking cute, don't you think Y/N?
Shut up.
Awww... what's the matter? I'm just complimenting your sibling. I mean... he is your sibling, right?
"Why are you referring to them like that, Y/N...?" A sob snapped me out of the daze I was lost in, and I turned my attention towards Jemima, who was sobbing uncontrollably. "They're your best friends...? Why are you-" "Oh... poor Jemima..." I cooed, stepping over to her.
Don't disappoint Father.
Don't disappoint Father.
Don't disappoint Father.
Don't disappoint Father.
"If you have nothing better to say-" "They're not here!" Nat finally replied, and I groaned softly, running a hand through my hair. "Finally! Someone here can actually answer a question." I chuckled, stepping back from them. "I... hope that's true..." I mumbled to myself, turning away.
"They're dead! They died already!" Nat yelled, thrashing in his restraints, while Father stepped forward, that stupid fucking smile plastered on his face. "Is that so?"
I watched from the corner of my eyes as Father stepped forward, and I knew Father would never relent. "Father. Let us... not waste time." I spoke up, watching as he snapped his head to face me. He put on a smile, nodding. "Fine. Let us move."
As I fell into step with Father, I spoke up. "The monarchy has definitely fallen. We shall be able to move onto securing political power over both worlds." A chuckle caught my attention, and I glanced up at him , confused, only to see him grinning. "Day by day, you're becoming more like me." My eyes widened, and i felt warmth spread through my chest. Why? Why do I feel so happy? He's my enemy... all these demons are my enemies...
I gritted my teeth, turning away. "Yes, Father."
NOVEMBER 13, 2047
We arrived in front of Gracefield Headquarters, awaiting the arrival of Grandma Isabella. I stood there, a stoic expression plastered on my face, but internally, the memories of Gracefield flooded my mind.
"Y/N! Come here!!" Norman yelled as I ran through the forest, trying to escape him. "Catch me if you can- Oof!"
Mama sighed, pressing an ice pack against my forehead, while I laid on the bed, still dizzy. "Y/N... are you okay? Mama, will he be okay?" Emma questioned, worry laced in her voice as she stared down at me. "I'm okay-" "You knocked into a tree, you idiot." Ray cut me off, and I swear if my forehead wasn't the part that was hurt, he'd be flicking my forehead first.
That same gate I stood in front of.
"Six years old again, just the usual..."
"That's not the mama we know, right?"
"The kid in the trunk wasn't Conny, right?! Tell me!"
I gulped, eyebrows furrowed as images flooded my mind. Emma's tear-streaked face, Norman's fearful expression, and look where we were now. As the gates rolled up, I took a deep breath, composing myself.
"Thank you for welcoming us." Father spoke up, watching as the gates revealed someone familiar behind. Mama.
"It's been a while, Grandma Isabella." Father grinned, his expression similar to that of Mama.
That same day, Sonju and Mujika were arrested on charges of attempting to overthrow the government. I sighed, standing outside the holding room where all the kids were waiting to be processed. If Emma and the others don't come soon, I'll have no choice but to take over.
I heard footsteps approaching, and as I lifted my head, I locked eyes with Father. He had that smile on his face again, but his eyes, they were devoid of emotion. I gulped. This wasn't good.
I entered the room alongside him, watching as he cut Nat's restraints off. I raised an eyebrow, confused, until Father knelt down in front of him. "Aren't you glad? They were alive. Norman, Emma, Ray, and the others from your family." I nibbled on my bottom lip, already knowing what was to come.
"They're not just alive. They even attacked the Imperial Capital, killing the aristocrats and the Queen herself!" He laughed, throwing his head back in amusement. I watched, clenching my jaw as he reached for Nat's finger, dislocating it in one move.
Nat let out a blood curdling scream, and I couldn't bear it. "Fat-"
"You lied to me!" Father yelled, having an angry fit, "didn't mom teach you not to lie?!" His eyes were filled with anger, no sympathy for children he viewed as cattle. As expected from a sadist like him. I glared at his back, wanting to punch the hell out of him right then and there.
I watched as he was about to step onto Nat's finger, and I rushed forward, grabbing his shoulder tightly. "Stop, now. They understand." He snapped his head towards me, before putting on that stupid smile again. "My... my... dearest son. You're stopping your father from punishing these insolent brats?"
Gritting my teeth, I responded. "They understand the consequences. Let them go." Tension fell between us, before he scoffed. "I guess it doesn't matter whether or not they're disciplined." A sinister smirk spread across his face. "They'll be processed into food, anyway."
I watched as he exited the room, leaving me and a few demons inside. I sighed, before turning to the crowd of crying children. Nat, as resilient as ever, held onto his swollen finger, trying to reassure them.
"Nat." I called out, stepping forward. The room fell silent, and I grabbed his hand. "Sorry, again."
In a split second, I snapped his finger back into place. He screamed again, and I let go of his hand, watching as he dropped to his knees. "Don't think of this as me being on your side." I turned, my back facing the group. "I'm still going to make sure you're processed-" "thank you." I paused, glancing back at Nat, who smiled weakly. "At least the old Y/N is still in there..." He mumbled, before determination flashed in his eyes. "Emma and the others will definitely get you back..."
Get me back? I scoffed, shaking my head and leaving the room, mumbling some curse words beneath my breath. I knew Emma and the others would arrive soon, and they'd succeed. But, I had no intentions of stepping into the Human World with them. Not now, and not ever.
