Arc 4 Chapter 7 - The Great Clash

Hey guy, Striker777 here. Been another hot minute, huh? Sorry about that, but life is life, you know? Also some games came into my life that have taken up my attention (I WILL FIND THIS GOD DAMNED GORYO ONE DAY! JUST YOU WAIT, I'M COMING FOR YA!). But yeah, I'm hoping you guys are well, enjoying yourself, and are ready for the second to last chapter for this half of Arc 4. Prepare yourselves, I hope you enjoy, and for now, onto the story!

The battlefield was tense, as all six combatants stood across from each other. Their eyes continually shifted between their three opponents as well as their two allies, wondering who it would be to make the first move. Because the second this battle started, chaos would befall them all on this battlefield.

Alfia, Ottar and Akihide, all stood on the side of protecting Orario. With the hopes and dreams of the average citizens on their back, there was no way they would allow themselves to lose this fight.

Zald, Zodd and Echidna stood on the side of destroying all of Orario, for each of their own unique reasons. Be it preparing Orario for the upcoming fight against the One Eyed Black Dragon, fighting to find a worthy adversary in battle, or to study Falna further and gather all the test subjects one could possibly need for such an endeavour. For each of their selfish goals, they stood in the way of protecting Orario.

All six of them knew that this battle would end in bloodshed, not all of them would make it out of this alive, perhaps none at all, and the battle would be left to the remaining forces of Orario and Evilus. But at that moment, in the singular instance when they would begin their clash, they would sign away their right to live, and gamble it all on the outcome of their battle.

As the people of Orario and Evilus held their breath, looking onward to watch as their titans clashed. This was the clash that would decide their future.

It all started in a single instance.

And the first one to move, was the destroyers.

Zodd raised his axe high in his fur-covered hand, and rushed forward to wards Ottar. "Entertain me!" he cried, as he swung down with all his might. Ottar ground his teeth together as he bought his blade up to block, the axe clashing with the heavy great sword with a heavy clang, metal striking metal as sparks flew for the briefest moment during the initial contact. In a battle of strength, even the enhanced Ottar knew that Zodd was physically stronger than him at the moment, and would easily overpower him eventually in a one on one fight.

However, this was a 3v3, so as soon as the two blades connected, Akihide jumped up Ottar's shoulder, ran across his arm, crossed over to Zodd's arm, and swung his blade from below, looking to sever the arm at the shoulder. Zodd blocked the swing with his cleaver, just as Akihide was looking to make the initial contact, as sparks flew once more from the metal striking.

Zald and Echidna could not allow this to go on, and each chose their target. Echidna sent an Crushing Force towards Akihide, hoping to hold down the boy and not let him go, whilst Zald lined up a swing straight with Ottar's neck, looking to sever it. Both reached impossibly close to each other.

"Ataraxia."

Zald's blade came to a complete stop as Alfia caught it inches from Ottar's neck with one hand, and Echidna's Crushing Force was sent away and repulsed by her magic with the other. There began the stalemate, as the six of them were instantly locked in a deadlock.

Only for Alfia to instantly shatter it.

With Echidna's force repulsed temporarily, Alfia used the opportunity to move back towards Zald, as she pushed back against his sword, lifting it high and leaving his stomach open, before taking her free hand and punching him. "Gospel Punch." she said, as Zald was sent flying back towards Echidna, who quickly rolled out of the way of the hulking mass headed towards her. Alfia continued with her assault as she turned and slammed her shin straight into Zodd's side with all the force she could muster. Zodd flinched, before pushing Akihide back and off of his arm, and swinging his cleaver at Alfia, hoping to catch her while off balance.
