Hey guys, Striker777 here. Sorry again for the long wait, but here we are, ready to go. This chapter is the epic conclusion between Zodd and Akihide, as well as the first day of the 7 Darkest Days. I hope you're all ready to go, and on with the story!

As Orario watched with bated breath, seeing the two behemoths prepare to face down with each other once more, there were some who didn't dare, for a moment, allow themselves to slow. Would not allow themselves to stagnate. Continued to work to protect their home, and the people they loved.
As the two fighters looked to each other before beginning combat, three pair of legs, all from different directions, made their way towards them.
For those three would not allow themselves to slow down.
Not for a moment.

The two combatants stared each other down, the young, and the immortal. The good, and the evil.
Even with his consciousness gone, and the subconscious of his soul, a state of mind purely driven by instinct, Akihide had to wonder if there was even anything he could do. He was exhausted, hurt, and definitely couldn't last long, especially against someone called 'The Immortal'. It was a terrifying thought, wondering if this was where he would die, without accomplishing what he set out to do with his life.
That was not a reality that Akihide wanted to face, but it was the one staring him right in the eyes. This guy was a monster in every sense of the word. Powerful, evil, an obstacle to his desires for the safety of his precious people. Akihide, even subconsciously, couldn't find a way to beat him.
Magic was the first thing that came to him, but it was dismissed just as quickly. He probably couldn't perform the chant, even if he knew concurrent chanting, without getting demolished in melee, and that would just kill him before he even finished speaking the incantation.
There was no way to beat him in melee either, given his condition. It would be impossible, the difference in their strength and exhaustion was too great. Not to mention how he was apparently immortal.
No matter how Akihide looked at it, there was no victory.
To take this man on alone would only lead to death.
If that was the case, the boy's only hope was to hold the line. Wait until the others could arrive to back him up. Alfia certainly wouldn't leave him to face off against such a monster alone as long as she could help it, and even if someone like Finn or Hogni showed up, despite only being Level 6, perhaps their combined force would be able to hold them off.
That was the plan, hold on tight and await reinforcements. There was no need to focus on winning, only staying alive as long as possible, buying as much time as he could to allow the others to come and help him, and fend this monster off together.
Yes... this was the only way.
With his plan laid out, if one could even call 'hang on for dear life and pray someone else shows up to take care of your problems' a plan, Akihide dropped into his stance, holding both of his tantō in his hands and preparing for a battle of misdirection, dodging and moving.
It was easy to tell not only from the man's frame, but also the way he fought before, that he was more of a power type fighter than a speedster like Akihide. Not to say that Zodd wasn't fast, he definitely was, but Akihide was confident that in terms of speed, he had the older man outmatched in every way. Teleportation certainly didn't hurt either, but he was far from allowing himself any sort of leeway or cockiness in this fight. If he wanted to make it out alive, he would have to use everything at his disposal. Skills, magic, technique, every trick he could think of and then some, all to make sure that he held off long enough to allow reinforcements to arrive, and help him kill the Immortal Zodd.
