In Too Deep

CHAPTER 2

I kept running and running until I was out of breath. I had then come to a fork in the road. I had to choose my ways carefully… My senses told me to go left. But I wanted to go right. Then I thought about the advice Angela had told me. “Never second guess yourself.”

So, I decided to go with my gut. I went left. YES! I was right! I found footsteps, and assumed they were his. I could feel every minute I was getting closer.

As I walked down the left path way, the footsteps started fading.

You might ask why I’m doing this. I'm doing this because; I want to know what it feels like to be a hero. I want to be known. Not just a random girl in high school. I want people to say, "Hey! Look! It's Meg Tiller!!" ...Okay, maybe I'm getting carried away... hahaha Nah!

Anyway, back to Dominick. As I got farther I saw light at the end of the forest. I sprinted faster each second. Just wait. In a few hours, minuets, or seconds, I could be the next teen hero.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, I heard a cry of pain.

"Please don’t hurt me! Please don’t hurt me! I didn’t do anything wrong!" said a voice that sounded close to a young girl about 12.

"You did do something wrong. You got in my way! I know you’re a spy for that bitchy girl… uhh...Megan! And I won’t let some weakling get in my way." I heard him say.

WAH...? Soooo not true! I don’t have spies.... and how dare he call me a bitch! He’s the bastard hurting people!

"What are you talking about? Who the heck is Megan? I’m not a spy! Where did you get that crazy idea??? PLEASE! Just let me go!" the girl squealed.

"Oooh! You’re such a good story teller! Save it for all the Metals to hear!!" Dominick said as he dragged the girl along with him.

Then I got a mushy feeling at the pit of my stomach. I know where I am. I know where he is going. To Metal & Co.’s Base.

 

Oh what fun. I don't know why  I’m so determined to help this little girl. Or take down Dominick. So don't ask me. Just don't. As the light came at the clearing at the end of the forest, I could faintly see that disgusting building they call the base. I've never been in one before, but from what I’ve heard, it's scary. With each step I take, I’m holding breath, terrified that I’ll make a sound.

Soon enough, I was outside the Base. I stood hidden behind a bush outside the window. I heard something unusual. SMASH. I hear something that sounded like glass shattering.

"Gosh Dominick! Why did you bring this stupid thing! It's so useless. I thought I sent you out there to find people that can actually do stuff!!! GET OUT! And come back when you have a useful person. GET!"

Who the hell was that?! I've never heard that voice before...

Yeah so i realize how lame this story sounds. oh well.
