Your boss had kept you back to sort out all your work that you had been behind on for weeks. One problem, you told Jason you'd be home for around half 5, because he had a surprise for you. You had no idea what though.

You knew Jason was going to be pissed at you because you had said half 5-ish but it was nearly half past 8.  You were 3 hours late and you knew Jason wasn't going to be happy. At least you were on your way home now. You stopped quickly getting gas otherwise you wasn't sure you were going to make it home.

You got out of your car and walked in the shop getting a bottle of water and paying for gas. You quickly rushed out of the shop and got back in your car, driving home.

When you got there you literally jumped out of the car, locking it and rushed up the steps to your door, unlocking it and walking in. You locked it behind you and took your shoes off turning around. You heard the television running in the room and walked in dropping your bag and coat on the floor.

Jason was on the sofa, a pizza box and a bottle of beer in his hand. A pink fluffy bear was thrown to the side and a small box was on the side. You stopped and thought for a minute. Sh*t. Your anniversary.

"Oh my god, Jason! I'm so so so sorry!" He shook his head and drank the beer. You stood in front of him. "I'm so sorry. Please let me make it up to you." He chuckled and shook his head swirling the bottle in his hand.

"You don't get it. I could have lost my job if I didn't finish the paperwork I was supposed to do, I'm sorry. Things have just been so busy lately." You crouched in front of him as you said it. "No. You don't get it," He said.

"I was going to do something so special for our anniversary but you got 'held back'. Mm, coincidence. Your always getting held back. I told you I have enough money to pay for the both of us." You sighed running a hand through your hair.

"I don't know how many times I've told you I want to work for myself." His eyes narrowed at me as he looked up. "Oh, i'm sorry Babe, refresh my memory." You scoffed.

"Look i'm sorry I missed our anniversary but i wanna be able to know that I can look after myself, in any situation. No matter if i've got thousands or i'm so loaded I don't know what to do with it." You shook your head, hating that he was being an asshole.

"Listen, I Said i'd make it up to you, and that is exactly what I'm going to do but please just let me get some rest. I'm so tired." It was his turn to scoff as he shook his head and stood up getting in your face. "YOU need to rest? YOU need to keep yourself knowing that YOU can look after YOURself. Have you not heard yourself right now? You sound such a selfish little bitch."

You gasped and looked down, ashamed of yourself. "I'm sorry. Okay? I know I should have been here and I wasn't but i'm really sorry baby. Please. Listen to me," He shook his head and shoved your hands off of him, going upstairs.

You sighed, following him upstairs. He was in bed, on his side ignoring me, facing the wall. You got changed in there into one of his t-shirts, you always wear to bed. You climbed in behind him and put your arm over his and grabbed his hand. "I love you." You whispered and heard him sigh as he turned around and cuddled you into his front. "I love you too. I'm sorry I snapped at you."

You shook your head. "I deserved it." He picked up your face so you was facing him. "No you didn't I was silly. I know you wasn't being selfish. I was being selfish and only thinking about today to remember that you have different responsibilities."

You shook your head. "No. Don't make excuses for me. My main responsibility of today should have been you and it wasn't so I'm so sorry."

It was silent for a while. "Does this mean I get some sorry slash anniversary sex?" You giggled and rolled your eyes at him and stayed silent for a while. "What are you waiting for?" And you both laughed as you got on with it.
