"Phones: check, Chargers: check, Clothes: check..." Belle rambles on as we double check our suitcases before we fly out to Cali. We're both bringing our penny boards to get around quicker, and taking some things to give to the YouTubers.
Rolling my eyes, I complain, "Come on! We're gonna miss the plane, or, at the rate you're going, VidCon...!"
"Just making sure we didn't forget anything like last time," she says, shooting me a glare.
"It wasn't my fault we forgot underwear!" I say for the thousandth time. It really wasn't, I mistook our shorts for underpants, which only goes to show that girl's shorts are getting way too short.
"Whatever, that's not happening this year," she says, proudly holding up a Baggie filled with underpants.
"Ugh, you're disgusting," shoving the bag back into the suitcase. I zip my suitcase up and drag it to the car, Belle following my lead. We say goodbye to our parents and start packing the car.
"I can't wait to see Lacey, James and McKenna again," she squeals as she heaves our bags into the trunk. Lacey, James and McKenna are our friends from years past, James and McKenna are brother and sister and live in Cali, Lacey flies out from Washington.
"And Trevor..." I tease, gently poking her side and making kissy faces. She waves it off and sticks her tongue out.
"Whatever, you just want to meet Jc," she coos, putting her hands on her heart and sighing.
"Jc is 6 years older than me, so shut up," I shoot back, but she says she doesn't care.
"You can't put a number on true love..!" She says, pulls herself into the car, and starts the engine.
I roll my eyes and get into the car. She plugs I'm her phone the the aux chord and none other that Trevor Moran's "Echo" starts playing. I laugh out loud, and she smiles.
"What? It's a good song!" She says, trying to cover up the fact that she's head over heals for Trevor, and turns up the volume.
"Suuuurrre.." I respond, staring out the window as we drive towards the airport.

            ~~at the airport~~

"Flight number 421 to Anaheim, California, now boarding," the loudspeaker booms.
I finish up my burrito bowl from Chipotle as Belle slurps up the rest of her smoothie and we walk towards the gate. Her phone dings and she smiles as she answers.
"Who was that?" I say nonchalantly, but we both know it was Trevor.
"Trevor, just asking if we were ok," she says casually, but I see a hint of a blush in her cheeks.
"Aww, you have a boyfr-" I manage to say before running into a large figure in front of me.
"Oh I'm so sorry," I start, but immediately stop speaking as they turn around.
The face looks familiar, round head, ears pointing out, kind eyes...
     Suddenly the realization hits me.
Yup. I would recognize that frizzy untamable hair anywhere.

     Jc Caylen.
