Not Too Late

V

     Before arriving at VidCon, we stop by Lacey's house and pick her up.

     "Lace!" Belle shrieks, side hugging Lacey as she climbs in, "I missed you sooooo much!"

     Lacey laughs and fixes her wide brimmed glasses with one hand, "Missed you too Bells! Its been too long." She looks over at me, smiling widely, " And how could I forget about you, Lex, have you found your YouTube crush yet?" She asks, while side hugging me.

     Rolling my eyes, I complain, "Why are you so obsessed with me?"

     "Yaass, Mean Girls reference!" McKenna squeals, making everyone laugh. We pull up to the VidCon parking lot, and wait in the huge line for registration.

     "Damn, might as well take a nap right here, this line is so long," James complains.

     "Agreed," I say, "I wish I could just bulldoze through this crowd, and go straight in. Who cares if some people get seriously injured? I want to go in!" I lean forward, making bull horns, and pretend to run into the crowd. Instead, I end up going in circles like a freak, and soon enough, Belle joins me.

     We barely notice a figure walking up to us, until they said, "Belle?"

     She freezes, looks up, and Trevor is standing there. She smiles widely and runs towards his and gives him a huge hug, and he hugs her back.

     "What the fuck were you doing?" He asks, laughing, looking from Belle to me, to everyone in our group.

     "Um...bulldozing everyone in our path? To get to registration sooner?" Belle says cautiously, and Trevor laughs harder.

     "You looked like freaks!" He remarks.

     Suddenly, I remember that Trevor and Jc used to be in a collab channel together, so they could still be friends. "Did Jc come with you?" I ask Trevor, trying to act casual.

     "Ooh, did somebody finally get a YouTube crush?" he asks, wiggling his eyebrows.

     "Shut up," I retort.

     Chuckling and looking down at his phone, Trevor says, " Well, actually Jc, Kian and Ricky just got here, so lets see..." He looks around for a second, and then he smiles.

     "There they are," he says, pointing at three figures coming our way. He waves them over, and they start walking in our direction.

     "What's up, Trevvy Trev Trev," Kian says, ruffling Trevor's hair.

     "Hi Lexi," Jc says, smiling at me, which makes my heart melt.

     Wait, what?

     I shake the feeling and respond, "Hey, Jc. What's up?"

     Ricky and Kian look over at us and smirk.

     "Soo, this is Lexi, huh?" Kian says, smiling at me and extending his hand.

     Jc elbows him, and I shake his hand, which is enormous. Seriously, Kian is so tall! My eyebrows furrow in confusion, but before I can ask anything, the line starts moving forward. I decide to shrug it off, a hint of a blush lingering on my cheeks, and I walk towards the entrance. We sign in, get our badges, and head over to the Expo Hall, where Jc, Trevor, Kian and Ricky all headed over to their own stations. Jc came over and hugged me goodbye, but he didn't realize what he was doing, so he stiffened and blushed.

     "Sorry, I-" He started to say, but I cut him off.

    "Don't apologize, it was nice," I say to him, and he blushes even more and runs his hands through his hair and smiles.

     Trevor gives Belle a hug goodbye, and then, thinking we couldn't see, he pecks her cheek. I squeal internally, and wiggle my eyebrows at Belle, her face awestruck and blushing. The boys left our group, and we walked over to Joey Graceffa's q&a.

     "That Kian dude was hot!" McKenna says, laughing.

     "He was so tall! Like a giraffe, with a bunch of necks stacked on top of eachother," Belle says, and I weigh in, saying, "Yeah, but she wouldn't notice, she's also a giraffe with multiple necks!"

     James furrows his eyebrows, "I don't like my sister talking about boys around me, I have to protect her," he says jokingly.

     "Oh come on, she tells you about bad sex experiences, and also tells you what not to do with a girl," Lacey says, smirking and elbowing him playfully.

     McKenna flicks her hair off her shoulder and shrugs, "Whatever, I would tap that."

     We all explode laughing, well, except for James, who gags.

     I could already tell VidCon was going to be a fun time.

     Well, until the phone call.
