The Day,that changes everything

"Suit up,We are doing at bust! We have illegal drugs at a house." yelled Hank

Jay helped Erin suit up,then put on his vest.

"Erin,my place 10:00." whispered Jay

"Alright!"

Everyone got into their cars and got their gun drawn. Jay was in the front and had his long gun. While Olinksy was in the back. Jay busted down the door and checked every room. When He went into Little Sawyer's room He could hear whimpering coming from under the bed. Jay bent down and looked underneath,where He found a 4 year old,who had blonde hair,and blue eyes.

"It's the police,you are safe now!" said Jay

"I don't wanna come out!" yelled Sawyer

"I am not gonna hurt you!"

Sawyer came out from under the bed and Jay picked her up. then carried her outside. While in the other room Hank found the guy behind the whole project. He picked him up and carried him outside. Hank put him in the squad car.

"Jay,who's that?" asked Hank

"I don't know her name,but I found her hiding under a bed. I wanna adopted her." said Jay

"Jay Halstead,you are crazy,but If He gets convicted you will be more than able to adopt her."

"Hey cutie,What's your name?" asked Lindsay

"Sawyer." She said shyly then burying her face into Jay's shoulder.

"Aww Jay. You have a problem there." joked Erin

"Erin,put a d-, put a sock in it." said Jay

"Hey Sawyer,wanna come see?" asked Erin

"Sure." Erin took her into the break room,where she gave her some toys.

"Halstead,My office!"

"That can't be good."

"Jay,are you serious? about adopting her."

"Yes,I am."

"Well,you gotta talk with DCFS then."

Jay got up from the chair then walked into the interrigaton room,where DCFS talked with him

"So you were in the army?"

"Yes sir, I did 3 tours in Iraq and Afganisthan."

"Okay,What made you decide to go into the Army?"

"Well ever since I was little, I wante to help people,I knew joining the Army was the right choice for me."

"Well,Thank you for your service. I too served. Semper Fi."

"Marines,what made you choose the Marines?" asked Jay

"Like you,I wanted to help people."

"Jay,you are good to go. You can take Sawyer home tonight.Be on the lookout for a home visit."

"Thank you!"

"Hey Sawyer,Meet your new Dad!" said the Social Worker

"Hey Sawyer,Do you wanna go get some stuff for your room at my house?" asked Jay

"Can Erin come?"

"If she wants."

"Erin,do you wanna go with us?" asked Sawyer

"Yeah,I will come!"

"Erin,if you wanna play house, just say it."

"Hank,I am not gonna play house. Stop being my father."
