Where am I?

I sit up up and look around.

I’m in a field of lilacs, surrounded by trees. The sky is a bright blue and it strangely smells like vanilla.

Am I dead?

I stand up and wipe off my pants. I turn and see a manwith his back to me.

I felt really uneasy and calm at the same time

How?

I walk up to the man and he looks like the man who attacked me; tall and broad shouldered.

He turns around and its Kian.

“Oh my god I’m so happy to see you.” I throw my arms around him but he doesn’t hug me back.

“Kian?” I take a step back. “What’s wrong?”

He takes out a knife and slowly walks towards. As he comes closer, I take more steps back.

I turn to run away but he grabs my wrist, spins me to face me and puts the knife in me.

I fall to the ground laying on my back.

Why would he do this?

He leaned over me with an evil look in his eye.

“Nobody wants you, nobody loves you and nobody cares about you.” He leans in closer. “It would have been better if you just died.”

He stands up and I see a bright light that basically blinds me.

I start shaking and convulsing,

I hear people yelling and feel my skin being pulled in every direction.

What’s happening to me?

I feel a liquid flow through my arm. It felt really nice. I stop shaking and relax.

Wake up. Open your eyes. You’re not dying, wake up!!

I try to force myself to open my eyes but they won’t.

Why can’t I open them?

I finally get the strength to open my eyes. I slowly open them to see that I’m in a hospital.

The first person I see is Kian sleeping next to me,

How long has he been there? Has he been there this whole time?

He looked so peaceful. I’ve never seen one quite like him.

I turn to see my mom sitting in a chair.

“Mom.” I force out.

He opens her eyes and a huge smile comes across her face; I couldn’t help but smile back.

“Peanut.” He stands up and walks over to the bed.

Yes my mom calls me peanut.

She grabs my head and kisses my cheek. I grab her wrist.

“How you feeling?” She asks rubbing my stomach.

“Shitty but I’ll be okay.” I reply with a laugh.

I turn to Kian and see his eyes slowly opening.

He smiles at me and I smile back.

We don’t say anything we just stare and smile.
