"Dude, I dare you to get that girls number." Josh nudged Alex.
Alex turned to face where his best friend was facing, he was looking at a pale girl, with light black hair and brown eyes sitting with 2 other girls at a table.
They were at Starbucks. Which was odd considering the fact that both boys didn't like coffee, but they figured that's where all the chicks that were close to their age would be. Alex started checking the girl out. She looked pretty normal to him, nothing special. But normal is what Alex liked. She was very pretty.
"Do you except my dare?" Josh asked waving a hand in front of his friends face. Alex didn't answer.
"By the way your looking at her, I can guess that you've accepted it. Now go." And before Alex knew it, he was being pushed straight at the girl.
For the first time, Alex didn't know what to say. Alex was usually smooth with the ladies, he knew exactly what to say. But when the girl looked up and her brown eyes met his teal ones, he didn't know what to say, he didn't know what to do. So he just stood there. Doing and saying nothing. Staring into her eyes.
His eyes looked away when one of the 3 girls snapped at him, "what do you want?"
He looked up to see none other than Mamrie. Not her.
Mamrie went to Alex's school. She was the daughter of Leshawna and Harold. He was known to bully her younger brother, Mathew. And his dad, used to bully her father back when they were teenagers. So it would make sense that the two were enemies. They hated eachother's guts.
And now here he was, about to ask a friend of Mamrie's for her number. He knew she wouldn't give it to him. So without saying anything back, he silently walked away. His cheeks turned red out of embarrassment.
He felt so embarrassed. And he started thinking about what the girl thought about him as he walked back to his table.
"Woah, dude, what happened over there? Your cheeks look really red.." Josh chuckled expecting his best friend to laugh along, but this time, he didn't.
Alex frowned. "I didn't even know what to say, Josh. And I always know what to say. I just stood there, doing nothing. She probably thinks I'm a loser now.."
"Woah, since when did you care what a girl thought of you?" His best friend asked.
Alex shrugged sadly and looked back at the girl. She was laughing about something with her friends. He smiled seeing her smile.
Josh had a point, since when did he care? Since when did he not know what to do? Since when did he get embarrassed over a girl? What was happening to him..?

Aspyn was walking to her and Eddy's usual meeting spot. She walked through the ally and made it to the tiny restaurant. It was small, not many people knew about it since it was hidden. That was the point of the restaurant, it wasn't there to look good and attract many costumers. It was old, it looked old and it felt old. But it was made for people to go there and escape the drama of the town. Nobody that Eddy or Aspyn knew have heard about it. Which was good, they didn't have to worry about bumping into someone they knew while they were together.
She walked in and was greeted from the one and only Chef, DJ. He was a grown man, about 36 or 37. He loved Aspyn. Probably because he knew her parents. DJ was once of the contestants on Total Drama. He knew her parents, which is why he would often lower the price on her and Eddy's meals.
