She was flickering, when Dean shot her. She disappeared for a moment.

"We're taking you home." Sam said, speeding forward in the car, and straight into the side of the house. I used my magic to create a barrier around the car. Using my magic was draining my energy. Fast.

"Sam! Emerson!" Dean shouted to us.

I slapped Sam around the head.

"Are you alright?" he nodded.

"What about you, you alright?" I nodded.

"I used too much power, I'm getting weaker and I think I might have concussion. So yeah peachy." Dean rushed in and helped us out of the car.

"Look out!" I shout as the dresser pins them to the car. Constance turns to me.

"You're like me." I shook my head. "You're man was unfaithful. He hurt you. Now you hurt yourself." I realized she was right, just as her kids appeared at the top of the stairs.

"You've come home to us, Mommy..." then they appear next to her and hug her. Then she screams out... turning into a dirty mess, which then turns to a puddle.

Sam and Dean pushed the dresser away and walked over to me and the puddle.

"She drowned her kids here..." I muttered as Dean examined me for any wounds and just to see if I was alright.

"That's why she could never go home. She was scared to face 'em." Sam concluded.

"If you screwed up my car, I'm gonna kill you." Dean said to Sam. He then turned to me. "And what did she mean 'You hurt yourself'? You better not be self-harming. We love you too much to lose you." I rolled my eyes. Then glanced at Sammy. He knew that she meant my drinking problem.

"She was probably lying-" I shook my head and cut Sammy off. He wasn't going to cover for me anymore.

"Dean, I have a drinking problem. And I'm gonna sort it out." He seemed shocked, as did Sammy. Sammy nodded to me. Smiling.

"Come on, goofballs, let's get out of here." I told them and we got back in the car.

Sammy was finding the coordinates, on the map. I already knew where it was, I just wanted to know how good his geography skills were.

"Ghost town off-" he started, I cut him off.

"Off route 66." He looked at me blankly.

"Did you already know where it was?" I nodded.

"I wanted to know if you were smart at geography, and I conclude you are." He rolled his eyes and Dean chuckled.

"Sounds charming. How far?" Dean inquired.

"About 600 miles." Me and Sammy chorused. He gave me a look.

"Seriously?" I nodded and smiled sweetly.

"We better shag ass, we can get there by morning-" Dean saw Sam's expression and paused. "You're not going."

"Look, the interviews in like ten hours. I gotta be there... after that... then we'll see what happens, alright?" Sam replied.

"Whatever. We'll take you back." Dean mumbled.

"No, guys, it's cool, I can catch a-" he started.

"We'll take you back, Sam." I said stiffly.

***********

We pulled up outside and I watched Sam get out.

"You'll call me if you find him?" we nod. "...Maybe... I can meet with you later, okay?" he said mainly directing his gaze at me.

"Sure. Okay." I replied. Dean was about to drive away and I stopped him. "Sam!" I called, he turned back. I climbed out and ran up to him. I pulled my plain silver ring off and handed it to him.

"When you- if you need me, just take it off, and I'll come running." He smiled and hugged me.

"I'm gonna miss you Emerson. Look after Dean for me." I nodded and turned walking back to the car. I slid in next to Dean and smiled sadly.

"Just you and me again, hey Emerson?" I nodded.

"Ah well. I'll cook you some pie." He turned to me and grinned.

"And that's why I love you." We drove away but only got about a mile up the road, before felt a burn on my hand, I looked down and noticed that he took the ring off, as there was a red mark around my finger.

"Dean, drive back to Sam's." he gave me a funny look. "Now." I growled. He did a 'U' turn. "We're going too slow! Look just keep driving. I gotta help Sam." He was about to argue, but I disappeared and reappeared at Sam's front door.

***********

I began banging on the door, I saw smoke. Shit. I threw a fireball on the door, and it fell down.

"Sammy!" I shouted.

"Emerson!" he called back. I ran in, and saw Jessica on the ceiling. She died the same way as Mrs Winchester. My mom. My dad. And my brother.

I dragged Sam out of the apartment and outside where there was a firetruck. Just as Dean pulled up. Dean walked over to the tape, whilst I stood with Sam at the back of the Impala. Sam looked like he was going to cry. I pulled him over and hugged him. It took a few minutes to respond, but he placed his chin on my head. And I felt the warm tears hit my hair. Dean walked back over and we got in the car, driving to the 'ghost town off route 66'.
