Summary: Y/n didn't leave with her family to California. She had a job, friends, and her boyfriend. There was to much to leave. But when her boyfriend is being chased by the law?

"Well how do you expect to find your new bestie?" Steve asked Dustin with crossed arms.

"All we have is dead ends." Robin sighed.

"I know where he might be. Or someone who might know." Dustin speak's up.

"Where?" Max asked.

"You'll see. Steve, drive." Dustin tell's them, as they all head out to get in Steve's car and follow the directions Dustin told them along the way.

"Sure not like we're on the clock or anything." Steve rolls his eyes. "Where am I driving to Henderson?" He asks as he gets in behind the wheel.

"Y/n's place." Dustin states.

"Why Y/n's place?" Max asked, confused.

"Just go!" Dustin yells.

It didn't take them that long to show up at Y/n's place. They all got out of the car following Dustin up to her door.

"Uh hey guys? What's up?" Y/n opened the front door to excessive knocking confused and wary.

"We need to talk." Dustin tell's her as they all enter Y/n's home.

Within minutes Y/n was caught up quickly with what's going on in town and with the upside down.

"Okay so you're saying something with the upside down is going on and it killed Chrissy but everyone's blaming Eddie?" Y/n wanted to make sure she heard them right.

"Yes." Robin and Dustin answered her at the sametime.

"Pretty much." Max and Steve nodded.

"So now you're all looking for Eddie?" Y/n questioned them with her arms wrapped around herself cautiously.

"Yes. We want to clear his name or at least help try to." Dustin nodds, hoping she'd know where Eddie was. Y/n had known Eddie the longest.

"So, you all agree Eddie didn't do it? That he's innocent?" Y/n asked, they all nodded.

Dustin looked at Y/n pleadingly. "Y/n you know Eddie better than anyone, don't tell me you-"

Y/n shook her head knowing where he was going. "No, no, no. I believe he's innocent. Eddie could never hurt anyone, let alone kill."

"Then why are you double checking?" Max asked inquisitive.

"Because I want to make sure none of you are trying to turn him in." Y/n state's.

"We're not Y/n/n." Robin shake's her head, promising her friend they weren't trying to find Eddie just to turn him over to the cop's.

"Promise." Steve nodded at her, their friend's she can trust them.

"Do you know where he is?" Max had a feeling the older girl knew where Eddie might be hiding.

"Yes. I know where he is. Listen your right, this has something to do with the upside down. What Eddie described to me it's not natural. You have to hear it from him." Y/n nodded letting out a relieved breath that they were looking to help him.

"Where is he?" Dustin perked up.

"He's here." Y/n states.

"He came here to hide?" Steve raised a brow.

"No one will suspect me to be hiding him. Perk of a secret relationship." Y/n smirked.

"Are you dating him?" Steve asked, shocked with wide eyes.

"How are you keeping it a secret?" Robin questioned, amazed that she never knew.

"We go on date's outside of town, meet up in the dark or sneak around." Y/n shrugged her shoulders honestly it wasn't that hard to hide it.

"Why?" Max didn't understand why they'd go through all that trouble?

"Eddie knows how Hawkin's view's him. He didn't want me to be viewed the same way." Y/n gave them a smile. Eddie saw how Hawkin's viewed the Byer's after Will's first encounter with the upside down, he didn't want that to happen to Y/n again.

"Eddie said he had a girlfriend but we never believed him." Dustin shook his head in disbelief.

"Better believe it." Y/n smirked, amused at the curly haired teen.

Y/n took them all down stairs to where Eddie was hiding.

"Eddie?" Y/n called out softly. Knowing he was already spooked due to everything but also on edge due to the unexpected visitors at the door moment's ago.

"Y/n - w-what are they doing here?" Eddie asked nervously, watching all the new people, some he knew. Eddie was ready to run.

"Hey, hey calm down. They want to help. I trust them." Y/n look's back at the group of her friends as she walks over to him hoping to calm him. "We've been through shit together. You can trust them... You need to tell them what you saw, what you told me."

"They'd never believe me." Eddie looks at her like she's crazy.

"Trust me, they will." Y/n gave him an encouraging smile and nod.

Eddie explained the odd syfy shit that happened in his trailer. Eddie was shocked and relieved when they seemed to believe him.

It wasn't long after that they heard siren's go past the house. The group all left to check it out, leaving Y/n and Eddie alone once again.

"You've been through this before?" Eddie asked now that they were alone again.

"A couple similar situations." Y/n nodded, giving him a reassuring smile.

"Is that how you got the scars you have? Is that why you were at the mall fire?" He questioned, it all made more sense now.

"Yes." Y/n admitted, it was nice to finally tell him about it.

"Why didn't you tell me? You had nightmare's and I couldn't help because you wouldn't tell me what they were about." Eddie asked, reaching for her hands and intertwining them. Holding them in his tightly, hoping to comfort himself and her.

"Eddie, you saw what happened to Crissy. That's sadly nothing compared to what we've seen over the last couple years." She grimaces at the memories, just seeing Billy get stabbed through by the Mind Flayer was enough to have nightmares for years.

"Well I'm in it now." Eddie squeezed her hands. He may be freaked out with all this now but he'd be there for Y/n no matter what.

"And I wish you weren't." Y/n gave him a sad watery smile. The one thing she loved about him not knowing was he was safer.

"Could you teach me? About all this upside down other dimension shit." He asked, he wanted to be prepared. My how the tables have turned now he was asking her to teach him all about something. It brought back good memories.

"Of course handsome." Y/n smiled nodding, of course she'd teach him about the upside down. It was her turn to teach him.
