Summary: Living in the trailer park was kind of annoying but their neighbor across the way made it much better. At least for Y/n.

Living in the trailer park sucked ass, but it was better than nothing if you asked Y/n and Max Mayfield. Y/n was practically raising her little sister Max now since their mom was working two jobs and when she wasn't she was home drunk and passed out.

There was a bright side though and that to Y/n was a boy across the way. Eddie Munson, some called him a freak and some called him a devil worshipper. Y/n called him a dork who was a gentleman that played a complicated role playing game.

He was the only thing that made the trailer park pleasant for Y/n.

"I'm leaving for the arcade." Max tell's her sister just so she'd know where she was. They were more concerned about each other's whereabouts nowadays.

"Okay. Be careful." Y/n nodded, acknowledging her sister's words.

"Are you going to be home tonight?" May asked, wondering if her sister had any plan's. She didn't tend to leave the trailer often besides work or when she needed to "think" as she called it.

"Yeah I'll be here." She answered looking around at the place they lived that didn't feel like home.

"What're you gonna do today?" Max asked her curiously as she grabbed her headphones.

"Probably hang out with Eddie." Y/n shrugged her shoulders sitting back on the couch.

"You like him." Max smiled knowingly. It wasn't often when Y/n truly held a crush on someone and Max was happy for her.

"Maybe I do." Y/n answered looking down at her hands feeling shy about the subject Max decided to bring up.

"Good."

"Good?" Y/n looked at her questioningly.

"Yeah, you deserve to be happy with someone." Max had noticed for years how Y/n take's care of her and how she took care of Billy after Neil would beat him. She does so much for everyone she deserves to have a relationship, someone to make her happy. Take care of her for a change.

After that Max left to go to the arcade and not long after Y/n went outside to meet up with Eddie.

"Mayfield, lovely to see you." Eddie bowed as he saw the older Mayfield sibling coming over to their picnic table.

"Munson, lovely to see you as well." Y/n laughed at Eddie's actions. He could easily cheer her up by making her laugh or smile.

"Are you doing anything this fine day?" He asked but he was hoping she was free.

"What do you have in mind?" Y/n left it up to him, she didn't care what they did as long as they spent time together.

With that they spent the day together doing all kinds of stuff. Just enjoying eachothers company.

"Eddie." Y/n spoke up.

"Hmm." he hummed in acknowledgement waiting for her to continue.

"Thank you." Y/n said as she reached for his hand.

"For making life better. Happy. Worth living." Y/n tells him slightly embarrassed for saying or rather admitting it.

"Always." Eddie smiled, pulling her in closer and kissed the top of her head.
