Faeries; they're just a problem sometimes

Hey guys, so here's my first chapter, I know I made it waaaaayy longer than I should have but, i don't know, it just happened. So here you go, hope you like it!!

--- Simon POV ---

     It's kinda weird that shadowhunters ride the subway. I mean, you would expect that with all their levels of badass they would have some sort of invisible black bugati or something like that. No, we ride the subway, except you don't know we do because were invisible. Sorry, "glamoured" not invisible.

     Izzy, Clary and I were sitting on the subway waiting to get off at Central Park to stop some version of a gang war that a bunch of Faeries and Vampires had gotten civilians mixed in with. That is why Shadowhunters had to be the ones to diffuse the situation, because of the civilians.
     Jace and Alec had been sent to the Hotel Dumort to work out that part. Apparently some of the vampires had started kidnapping a large amount of people and then decided to take some fae. Then the faeries retaliated by tricking vampires into their domain using humans, or something like that. Im not sure exactly.
      We stopped at central park with Izzy leading the way. Me and Clary were still considered inexperienced because neither of us had been training since a young age. Once we were at the park we found a faerie walking around, weaving in between trees tying something we couldn't see to them.
     "Hey." Izzy called out. The faerie glanced at us and walked over after tying a final knot.
     "Yes? May I ask what you're doing here?" He said staring straight at Izzy. It was unnerving and really weird. Meanwhile, Clary and I were just standing behind her confused.
     "Why the hell did it have to be you?" Izzy mumbled to herself. "I mean seriously, the chances shouldn't have been that high." At this point I looked at Clary silently asking and she just shrugged.
     "Ask yourself the same question, if you knew there was a chance you would see me why did you take it?" He was acting so smug that it was starting to irritate me.
     "You think I took it on purpose, if you hadn't been so desperate to see me than why did you take part in a situation that would attract shadowhunters attention? I mean, unless you're saying that you did this on purpose to get my attention? Hmm?" The fact that Izzy was starting to get heated concerned me a bit, but her snarky-ness amused me too. Overall, this whole situation was just uncomfortable and weird. Who was this guy?
     "Oh yeah? Well how about I call over a few of my friends? I'm sure they would be glad to see you again after so long." He turned around and called out a couple of names when three other male faeries showed up. Clary and I took this as a 'calling for backup' situation in which we both reached for our seraph blades, not yet unsheathing them but ready to go.
     "Oh great!" She threw her hands in the sir with frustration. "Just damn fantastic! So all of you are best buds now aren't you? Just peas in a pod, birds of a feather sharing a nest!"
     "Izzy, whats going on here? Who are these guys?" My level of concern had raised high enough that I felt like I needed an explanation.
     "Oh the little wench didn't tell you?" The second faire said with a accent, somewhere between Scottish and Irelands. "Were all just a small number of the boyfriends shes had. Im surprised you don't know this, she's infamous for dating around. Never know who she's been with, never know what she has." He said with a goddamned smirk on his face. This was getting a bit out of hand, faerie number two made me want to smack his teeth out and Izzy hadn't said a word in rebuttal which made me wonder, how much do I even know about Izzy's past? Especially her relationships. I know almost nothing, thats how much! For pete's sake they could be bringing up something important that Izzy and I had never even brought up! Thats it, i'm not dealing with this until I calm down.
"I'll be with Alec and Jace if you need me." Then I took a step back and turned around walking out of the park. The hotel Dumort wasn't that far from here so there was no point in taking the subway, I wanted to walk anyway.
