The door opens at around 2 in the morning and I squint from the light of the hallway. Someone shushes the person who is talking and I sit up.

"What're you guys doing?" I whisper to Leah and Calum.

"We're coming home." Calum smarts off. I raise an eyebrow at him.

"You guys should've just stayed out if you were gonna be out this late." I laugh, rubbing my eyes.

 "It's only 2:30." Leah reasons.

 "In the morning." I emphasize.

"Sorry Syd." Calum whispers, closing the door behind him. Leah laughs as he trips and I shush them.

"Shut up." Michael shouts from the floor, causing me and the other two to jump.

"Dammit Mikey." Carter mumbles, nuzzling her face further into his neck. Michael tightens his arm around her and I laugh a bit as Calum walks into Leah, making her stumble a bit.

"Did you guys drink?" I whisper-shout to them.

"He did, I didn't." Leah shakes her head a bit and chuckles.

"Alright try to keep it down." I say, turning back to Luke as he pulls me to his chest. I rest my head there and close my eyes.

"Calum!" I hear Leah snicker at him and I have to hold myself back from looking.

I press snooze on my alarm and swing my legs over the edge of my bed. I sigh, standing and grabbing my work clothes, tugging my pajamas off.

"Nice." I hear Luke whisper from behind me and I furrow my brow. I turn around and see one of his eyes open as he watches me change.

"Lucas." I scold, pulling my t-shirt over my head.

"Yeah, babe?" His voice is full of sleep and I instantly feel weak in the knees.

"Nevermind." I laugh, tucking my shirt into my skirt, leaving it so it folds over a bit. I brush my hair and tie the ribbon onto my head, grabbing my makeup bag and sitting in front of the mirror. I quickly put in my contacts so I don't forget about them.

I decide on just foundation and mascara, too tired to both with anything else. When I'm finished with that I put everything back into my bag, setting it next to the mirror.

My phone starts to buzz again and Luke groans, picking it up and turning it off. I chuckle before grabbing my apron and sweater, then leaning over to peck his cheek.

"I'll see you later, okay?" I say, putting my sweater on and pocketing my phone and earbuds. I keep the apron in my hand as I push my sock clad feet into my Vans.

"Yeah." He mumbles, pushing his face into my pillows.

"I love you." I say, grabbing my key off of the hook on the wall.

 "I love you more."

"Impossible." I whisper, blowing a kiss he doesn't see, but pretends to catch the walk out of the door.

The Washington weather is usually just rain, so today when I walked out of the hall and into the pouring rain, I wasn't shocked much.

The pitter patter of the rain hitting against my windows drowns out the light hum of the music. I still manage to hum along with the morning tunes before turning the car off and walking into the diner.

"Hey Syd." Ed says as I walk through the kitchen to the break room.

 "Hey." I smile softly.

I take my sweater off but decide to keep it on due to the chilly air the vents are pushing out. The door dings and I smile as I see the mint green tie I've seen for two days in a row.
