Y/n's pov:
I've been floating around for the past twenty minutes. Floating aimlessly through space. After having just witnessed everyone I care about die. I'm ready to give up, there's nothing more I can do.
"Y/n... Y/n!" 'What?' I think as I look slightly up at hearing someone say my name. "Y/n!!" 'There it is again, but it can't be...' I look around and my eyes land on Gary.
"Grab me!!" He yells, stretching out his arm as I get closer and closer. I'm just about to pass him when I stretch out my own hand and manage to grab his hand just in time.
"Yes!" He says happily as he pulls me into a tight hug. I happily hug him back. "Oh my gosh, Gary. You're okay." I say with a deep sigh of relief.
"Are the others okay?" I ask as I pull back just enough to look at him, but still holding on tight so we don't lose each other. "I don't know... don't think so... Quinn is gone..." He answers with a sad tone. "What do you mean?"
"She went with the bomb to close final space... and didn't come back..." "Oh Gary... I'm so sorry." I say as I give him another hug. "I'm not in good shape myself..." he comments.
I pull back again to look at him, this time with worry in my eyes. "What do you mean?" My helmet lights up as HUE connects himself to it. "Gary's oxygen tank is leaking rapidly. If someone doesn't show up to save us soon, he has approximately 7 minutes left of air" HUE informs me.
"What... No... you can't..." I say desperately.
"...I'm sorry Y/n." Gary says softly.
"No... I'm sorry." I say as I pull him into yet another hug. He hugs me back, as we drift further and further into endless space, together.
"Is it just me, or is it getting a bit cold?" Gary asks, trying to lighten the mood. Before I can answer, HUE buts in. "The coldness you're experiencing may originate from the oxygen leaking out of your tank, combined with the empty cold of space."
"Thanks HUE, that really helped me lighten the mood. Thank you very much." Gary says sarcastically and loud. I don't answer and just hug him tighter.
Gary noticed that it didn't help in lightening the mood and hugs me a bit tighter. "I am glad tho, that we got this past week together. I have really missed you..." "I have really missed you too..." I whisper, barely loud enough for him to hear.
We stay like this for a while, until I notice Gary's hold on me loosening, until he eventually lets go. Tears are pouring down my face as I still hold on to him.
"Y/n. Gary's-" HUE starts, but I cut him off. "Don't. Don't say it..."
