Caught (TMNT fanfic)

Chapter 5

Mikey woke up with blurry vision as he tried to focus on his surroundings. As soon as he gained his vision he sighed and looked at his arms. "What the shell?" He said as his arms were wrapped up in gauze and bandages.

He sat up and leaned against a wall. He closed his eyes and deeply sighed.

"Good evening Michelangelo." Shredder said from the shadows.

Mikey yelped and jolted his eyes open.

Shredder smirked in amusement and walked into the light. "You may know why I am here." He paused to let Mikey mentally think. "Tell me where your lair is!" He commanded.

Mikey shook his head and imitated a zipper sealing his mouth shut.

"Very well." He faced the door. "Bradford! Xever!"

The mutant dog and fish walked in through the door. "Yes, Master Shredder." They responded.

"Take him to the torture room." He glared at Mikey. "I'll get the answer out of him, one or another."

"Yes Master Shredder." They said as they grabbed a struggling Mikey with his chains and dragged him out the door.

Raph and Donnie have been thinking of a way to find and get Mikey back. "I'm stumped Raph. I don't know how we can get Mikey back tonight when we are still injured." Donnie said not looking at Raph in the eye.

"You're giving up? Again!" Raph yelled and stood up. "What's wrong with yo-"

"Don't start this again Raph!" Donnie yelled. "I am not giving up! Like I said before we can't get Mikey back in these conditions! I want Mikey back as much as you do, I'm just thinking of better ways to not hurt anybody else, anymore than what it is now! I can barely walk, you can't fight with one arm, and Leo is still unconscious on the couch! So you tell me, how should we get Mikey out tonight?" Donnie yelled and stared at his brother. "We may as well sacrifice all of our lives." He said quietly, but loud enough for Raph to hear.

Raph sighed and walked out the lab into the living room, leaving behind an irritated Donnie.

When Raph walked in, he saw Master Splinter meditating by Leo. He walked up to his sensei and sat in front of him.

Splinter opened one eye and then closed it. "What seems to be troubling you Raphael?"

"We're not getting Mikey back tonight, huh?" Raph said while looking straight at Master Splinter, even though he had his eyes closed.

Splinter sighed and opened his eyes. "I can not be too sure. Your injuries were very grave indeed. I could not allow you boys to go out in these conditions." Splinter said sadly.

"Why Sensei?" Raph almost yelled. "For all we know, Mikey could be getting tortured or something. We can't... I can't let him go through that. I'm sorry Sensei, but I just can't." Raph said as he stood up and walked away to his room and slammed the door.

He looked at a picture that was just him and Mikey; Mikey was laughing at Raph, who had a pizza slice on his head.

"I'll get you back brother, tonight. With or without Splinter's wishes." Raph said as he layed on his bed and closed his eyes until he was fast asleep.
