-1 day later-
" Well, this is it! " my dad says making my breath hitch the slightest bit, " We're in California!!! "
We get into a taxi and go to our hotel.
The whole taxi trip to the hotel I stared out the window, gaping at this new country that was now going to be my home.
After two hours with heavy traffic, we arrive at the house we bought from Australia.
This is the first time Vincent ( A/N I changed Chloe's brothers name, so Vincent is now Chloe's brother in this book ) and I have seen the new house.
The house is amazing though, so much bigger and better than our old one in Australia. We have a beach behind the house, so the beach is basically our backyard! It is a two story house and it has a balcony. We have an amazing view of the beach from our balcony, and I already know that at sunset and sunrise it will be absolutely breathtaking.
My dad calls us to the front of the house so that the family could chat.
" Today, we will be having our family chat walking around. I will show you all the parts of this house! " my dad says as if he was a tour guide.
He shows Vincent and I our own rooms and all the other rooms in the house.
As we explore different parts of the house, I see numerous places to hide during a game of hide and seek. Yes, I am 16 but I still am a child.
As our 'tour' finishes, we see the moving truck outside. I guess it's time to unpack!

After a few days, the house is as if we have lived there for a while.
My room was very tumblr inspired and I loved it. I had baby blue walls, and two walls in my room were covered in posters of my favourite bands and singers.
I had a white desk on the back wall, which was quite neat. It had some stationary, pictures and a lot of albums from my favourite bands and singers. The desk had the structure of a normal plain desk, but it also had a tall shelf in the bottom with a drawer on top of that shelf. Then there was the actual table top part, then there was this shelf that was lifted above the desk ( it was still connected to the desk ) and you could see a part of the wall. On the part of wall you could see, I had put polaroid pictures on a piece of string that I had attached from one side of the desk to the other, and they were hanging on the string with clothes pegs.
Next to my desk there was a plain white bookshelf. In it, there was books and trophies. By the way, I forgot to mention that I do dance. I do contemporary, ballet, jazz, acro, theatre, character and hip hop. I've been a dancer since I was 5 years old. And honestly, I never want to stop dancing in my life. I love dancing, it's a way I use to express myself. No matter what, I can always turn to dance.
Anyway, on the wall next to my bookshelf, there was my walk in wardrobe.
In one corner of my room ( the corner next to my desk ) there was a large beanbag and lots of pillows surrounding it. It was the ultimate comfy place for me. There was a window above the corner as well.
And then of course on one wall ( a wall that had posters on it ) there was my bed. Next to my bed there was a bedside table, but I won't go into much detail for that.
So yeah, that's my new room. And I actually like it more than my old one back in Australia.
My mum and dad suddenly knock on my door and walk in.
They sit next to me on my bed and say something I was hoping to not hear for a while.
" Chloe, we enrolled you in school. "
