Noah and I made plans to work on the project on Thursday after school at my place. So when he showed up on time I wasn’t surprised, but when he walked in with Trey and Jamal I didn’t know what to think.
“Um, hey guys,” I told all of them letting them through the front door.
“Hey, I hope its okay I brought the guys. They’re just gonna kick it with Luke and Tommy while we work on the project.” He explained.
“Yea, you guys know where the room is,” I pointed down the hallway.
“Hey Elle, is your friend Tori here?” Trey asked before walking away.
“Um yea, she’s doing her homework in my room….why?” I asked a little curious, but even more amazed at how fast she worked.
“Nothing, she’s just in my chem class and I couldn’t remember when our test was….so do you think I could go ask her?” he said looking at me with a straight face.
“No problem,” I said nodding my head. “My room is down the same hallway but 3 doors from the right.”
“Cool, see ya,” he said making his way down the hallway. Interesting.
“Well, I guess we should get started,” I said leading Noah into our study. It’s my favorite room in the house, besides my bedroom, because it has the biggest, comfiest couches that I love to take naps on because the room is so dark once the shades are pulled.
“Where do you want to start?” I asked sinking into my favorite spot on the couch.
“Wherever,” Noah said sitting across from me.
“Okay, well we could do poems about each other, for each other, or we could write them from the other person’s point of view.” I said hoping to get an idea going.
“Um, I guess we could just do poems from the other person’s point of view, that could be, um, good,” he said while rubbing his hands together. He really does have amazing hands. I mean, you would think they would be all beat up from all of his fights, but they’re really just perfect.
I bet my hand would fit perfect in his large one. Whoa, never mind. I cannot believe myself. I’ve spent so long turning away from guys, but just looking at his hands makes me think about him touching me.
Shaking my head to clear my thoughts I agreed. “Yea, we could do that. Well, we could start by trying to get to know each other a little so we can know how the other person thinks.”
“Alright…how?” He said nodding his head at me.
“I guess, let’s just ask each other questions, that would probably be best,” I said thinking that starting a conversation with Noah and his one sentence responses was going to be kind of hard.
“Cool…so…what’s your full name?” he surprised me by actually taking an interest in the project.
“Gabrielle Alexandria DeMarcos…don’t laugh; I know it’s a long name.” I said blushing.
“No,” he said looking straight into my eyes, “I think it’s pretty much perfect.”
“Oookkaayy,” I said trying not to get caught in the gleam of his beautiful green eyes. “My turn…um, what’s your favorite game to play?” Which may sound like a lame question, but you can get to know a lot about someone from their favorite game.”
