I was quite shocked "what? Why?"
"He's quite full of himself. Despite being a self-depressant suicidal freak, he thinks he's the worst so he acts like he's the best. Than he doesn't realise it but he leads girls on a lot. Flirts with them and treats them like they're special. Then they find out they aren't. And he doesn't even realise how many hearts he breaks"
Her words shot me like bullets and it was weird. I didn't really like andy all this much did I? But hearing her say this was hard for me to hear.
"I just want you to be careful" the bus was coming up towards my stop
"I'm getting off now. I didn't catch your name"
"Ashley. Ashley Costello. You?"
"Kerry. Kerry Blood"
The next few weeks went by pretty fast. I spent all my time with Andy. Just me and him. I spent maths with Jinxx and Chris, English with this guy Jake, Ricky and Nikki and I caught bus with Ashley.
But out of lessons just Andy, and music and drama. He didn't want to spend time with anyone else.
One time in drama we didn't have much of a choice.
"I want everyone to get into groups of no less that 6 and no more than 12. Our short movie project will be all about building up tension and suspense." Miss said, I turned to look at Andy. He did not look happy.
"Maybe this means you'll work with us Andy. Or are you going to ignore us like you have been doing for a month now" I heard someone say, I turned around to see a quite muscular, but slim guy with a shaved side of his hair. Standing next to him was a slightly taller guy with long black hair pushed back with a bandanna and spiked at the top.
"Fine Ash. Come on let's work in a team" andy says frustratedly "Kez, this is Ashley Purdy, Ash this is Kerry Blood. Kez this is Christian Coma, Cc this is Kerry Blood. Now you know each other, yay" I didn't know what was wrong with Andy. Where these his friends or not?
"We're only a four though, we need etleast 8" Cc says to Ashley and Andy. I got the impression he wasn't a big Kerry fan.
"Work with the Mexican guys" Ash points to these four lads. "Hey you lot wanna work with us?" They nodded and came over. I got to know them as the tall guy is Mike, the short one is Vic, the spiked hair one is Jaime and the cute dorky one with glasses is Tony. We ended up in a group of 11 as we also got a girl called Hayley, a guy called Danny and someone called Ronnie as well.
"So ideas, ideas, ideas" Hayley says happily with a pen and paper on her hand.
"Horror" Danny says "it's got to be, building up tension and suspense" he had a nice accent, British I think.
"Okay but we need a story idea" Tony points out
"Who watches a lot of horror movies?" Vic asks
"I-I do" I shout out, quite loud for me actually, the sweet quiet girl.
"Okay we'll have you got any ideas?" Ronnie asks
"I..Urm. I-I don't....I don't know" I lowered my head.
"Good help you are" Ronnie complains
"Shut up Ronnie!" Andy raises his voice
"Woah, what?" He seems surprised
"Leave her alone Ronald!"
"Sorry Andrew! Jeez does she mean that much to you? You haven't spoken to me in weeks dude"
I thought for a minute, all Andy's friends were saying that. They clearly didn't like me, except for Jinxx and Ashley (Costello, not Purdy). I didn't see why but now I think I know. Andys ditching all his other friends for me. This must be what Ashley meant by leading people on...making me feel special!
I had zoned out and didn't realise Andy and Ronnie were still yelling at each other and Andy's face was going red. I got abit nervous. I felt guilty for this...but I don't know why. It's not my fault Andy's ignoring all his other friends. But I guess it's not as easy for them to see that.
