Three Hearts In A Row
                              *Haley's POV*
A smile crept on to my face as I got closer to the familiar two storey building. A black teak board hung right above the ancient looking wooden door, pained in light brown where the word's caffeined , despite the fact that this was my hangout spot with Skylar and Blair this is also my go to place especially as this café is located near the public library. I pushed the door as the bell above rang indicating those inside a new customer was here. I inhaled the smell of the coffee aroma as it instantly calmed me down.
"Over here", Skylar called out waving her hand grabbing my attention. I made my way towards where they were seated on the huge bean bag sofas nearby the magazine stand which stood by the glass window which let us to the view of the busy street.
"Hey," I greeted them while grabbing a cold bottle of water and gulping it down
"Blair and I were just catching up and we ordered your favorite chocolate chip frappe," Skylar motioned at the tall glass with a soft smile.
I thanked them as I leaned my head on the glass window pane feeling worn out already.
"The weirdest thing happened today during my AP economics class," Blair started breaking the soft silence
"And that is?' Skylar questioned after taking a sip from her caramel latte
I raised one of my eyebrow at Blair indicating her to continue being too lazy to speak
"So today during economics Mrs Jacobsen let us off 10 minutes early and I stayed back and started my homework early which is a usual occurrence but Nathan came up to me and asked me if I could help him with Economics as he has to keep up his grades in order to continue playing basket ball, apparently the coach is pretty strict," Blair informed us
I sat up straight and admired the interior of the café in order to prolong my answer. This café was really cozy giving a really homely feeling. I stared at the barista behind the counter making a coffee art his grey eyebrows were deep in concentration.
"And what did you say," Skylar questioned with a slight edge to her voice which grabbed my attention away from the barista. Pffft so much for diverting my attention
"We agreed to meet up on Saturday evenings at the park so I can help him," Blair mused out
"Damn it Blair if you had declined he would have got kicked out of basketball and that would have resulted in a one less problem for me," I joked while simultaneously trying not to be envious I mean she will be spending her weekend with Nathan studying together. It doesn't matter anyway I just have a tiny tiny crush on him and soon enough I'll have a crush on someone else I thought to myself or tried to convince myself.
"Damn it Hales, I didn't know you were that threatened by him,' Skylar mused out with a grin and Blair let out a giggle and I soon joined in and the almost empty café echoed with our laughter
                              *Blair's POV*
I stared at my Wrist watch for the third time while letting out a groan. Nathan was late. We agreed to meet at 3:00 Pm but it was 3:25 Pm. saying that I was frustrated would be an understatement I mean Nathan might be cute and everything but I hate waiting and I hate when people were tardy with being punctual. Nathan better have a valid reason I thought to myself. I leaned back on the bench and took out my borrowed copy of Alive by Scott Sigler and started reading it from where I have left off.
'I'm sorry I'm late,' a breathless voice called out startling me. Nathan stood in front of me his hand on his knees as he tried to catch his breath. I handed him an unopened bottle of water which I bought on the way and glanced at my watch it was 3:31 Pm
"I had to baby sit my little sister and I lost track of time," He explained as he aimed the empty water bottle at the recycling bin few feet away from us
"Alright but this will be the first and last time you will ever be late, got it?' I questioned trying not to be intimated by his mesmerizing eyes
"Understood Miss Blair," He mumbled trying to hid a grin.
"What exactly do you need help with it? I questioned pulling out my economics text book
                              "Uh everything.
"No that's not how you draw the diagram, you've got to draw the average curve first,' I grumbled for the third time. Tell me again why did I agree to Help him in economics oh right because I have this massive crush on him, but seems like he needs to blessed in the brains department.
"No that's not the Average cost curve," I gritted out and threw my pencil at him. What he's really testing my patience here
"Geez I am trying alright,' Nathan mumbled while rubbing his arm where I aimed my pencil pffft a pencil can't hurt a fly.
"Let's just take a break for five minutes Nathan mumbled as he spread his arms behind the bench making my stomach erupt with trillion of butterflies. This boy was pulling every string of my emotions right now.
