Someone Like Me?

I woke up the next day in my Futon.

Was it all a dream? Did that really happen? Wait..... How did I even get here? I only remember entering that portal on the back of that- I mean Furōringu. Seeing a beautiful White Castle-like mansion.

And then blank...

I looked around my room and saw my mask on the side of my Futon, by instinct I touched my face, I felt my hair which was now down even though I'm sure I had it up last night. My clothes were still on, I sighed in relief.

I heard noises down the hall and footsteps coming towards my room. I quickly covered myself to my shoulders with my covers. There was finally a knock. "Come in!" I said and the door opened. My brother, Hikori (hee-cor- ee)) entered, he raised his eyebrows strangely at me because of the position I was in "What are you doing?" He cracked a smile.

"Wow, no 'Good Morning' of any kind?" I said sassily and narrowed my eyes at him.

He chuckled, "We're going to leave soon, all we need is to pack up the beds, and then we'll be on our way." He informed me, "So start getting up!" he said and closed the door.

I became sad as the thought of moving away came. I quickly got dressed, putting my clothes in the book bag I regularly carry along and walked out.

"Good Morning Princess! Ready to move to our new house today?" My Father gleamed at me. He had the biggest smile on his face, I just couldn't say no when he was that excited, "I'm looking forward to it" I nodded and smiled. I really wasn't looking forward to it at all, my father got a new position at work in Jigyou Sentei. A business accosiation that deals with traveling. But he had to be close to the building, which makes us move to the city of Tokyo.

We finished packing up and we were now heading to the big city. My father said he had registered my brother and I in a private school full of transferred students from all over the world. I complained because it was a lot of money. He didn't seem to care about that. I thanked him and dropped the conversation. He does stuff carelessly sometimes, but I really am thankful he thinks of us first.

We drove in to the driveway to our new house, it was located literally outside of the city.

In the next week we finally got the house together the day before school was supposed to start. Was I excited? Maybe . . .

"Kessho! We're hungry!" yelled Hikori from downstairs. I sighed and got up from my bed and headed down the stairs to the kitchen.
As I was making dinner, I felt like a robot. Like I was just meant to cook dinner. When I finished Hikori and my dad were concerned about me. My head hurt and I just felt emotionless to everything.
I guess this happens when I don't go out at night. Or maybe it was..... no, that didn't happen.. It keeps creeping into my mind when my family questions me about why I'm acting so weird lately. I've already made my mind up that it never happened . . .

. . .But then . . . Why am I so afraid to go out now? . . . Like I used to?

I haven't gone out since I've moved. It's probably all just in my head.

I couldn't sleep that night. My conscious kept telling me to go out, but school starts tomorrow. . .

That night after dinner as I was laying in bed, my brain wouldn't shut off and go to sleep anymore. So I finally grunted and got out of bed. I quickly got dressed in dark clothing and climbed outside of my window. It was weird that we had a two story home now, thankfully there's a tree right next to the window.

I never thought a city can look so alive at night. I've been to Downtown Tokyo before, but just never at night. It seemed that people recognized me and I would have to run and hide away. I didn't know I was quite famous

In my many adventures of hiding from 'fans' I saw a girl whom was hiding behind a building, like I was, but we were across the street from each other. She was blonde and had an outfit as a some kind of warrior. it was pretty awesome I mist say. My vision went blurry when I tried studying her, but that was all I can see of her. There was a guy next to her who looked directly at me, giving me warning kind of facial expression. He seemed very familiar, I can see him perfectly though. He had light gray with a tint of purple colored hair wearing a suit of what looked like flexible armor.

Then and there I heard a man's voice inside my head, "Stay right there, don't move." I was mind blown by this. Did this guy really speak to me through my mind?! Usually that's only seen in American movies, and usually the person is able to reply back once spoken to...

"How are you able to do that?" I looked at the guy with my eyebrows knit in curiosity.

He rolled his eyes, "there's no time to explain-"

Oh my god he answered.

"Yuki who are you talking to?" The girl silently whispered next to him. She then noticed me and her face lit up in the largest smile I have ever seen. Weird thing is, my vision cleared and now I could see her perfectly. She had the brightest blue eyes and porcelain- like skin that was a bit tan. She has the body of a stereotypical latina, meaning she was in between chubby and skinny  with major curves. She wasn't very tall either, more of a 5 foot person.

Upon examining her, her smiled faded as we heard a loud thump with a car alarm ringing near by.

"Damn girl! Where are you?! Where is the princess?" A loud feminine voice came.

"What the--?!" I lost my breath at the sight of the large woman right in front of me....
