The better place

It had been almost three months since hiccup had left berk, they had got to a big town and ran it to a girl her name was Lucy she was also running away. Lucy was a kind-hearted badass, she rode a silver dragon called Firefly, witch lucy had found when the dragon was a baby, Lucy was four when she found the dragon they had been on the run ever since she was 8 she was 15 now, she and Firefly had found a home for a bit in an abandoned house on the side of some other village  Lucy took a liking to hiccup and toothless so she let them stay with her. 

the house had broken stairs in the main room a small bedroom where lucy keep her valuable stuff and the main room where they had set up bed and chests to keep their stuff in, they where running low on food though so Lucy took some of the coins out of her pouch, she had quite the hand at making bracelets and necklaces out of dragon scales, witch firefly and toothless along with other dragons around the wildwood dropped a lot, so she made quite a bit when she sold in town. 

"hiccup we need to get food," Lucy told him pulling her wild brown hair up into a ponytail then pulling her fur cloke over her maroon dress, and fixed her boots 

"okay then yes let's go," hiccup came up to her, he had been making armour, he found that it wasn't ideal to be a runaway without any protection lucy had a breastplate for when they were riding 

walking down the dirt path that leads to the village was a short walk but a nice one the first would come around them lucys stopping to pick up scales as they passed by them putting them in her leather bag which she brought everywhere, 

the village was bigger then berk and had frequent visitors so it wasn't strange to see people that you didn't know there, no one questioning when they would come in some shop owner even remembering them and being kind, 

"lucy hiccup good morrow to you," the baker from behind the count waved to them as they walked in the shop 

"good morrow baker what do you have in this moring," lucy returned the jester

"the normal bread and for your sweet tooth try this," he gave lucy what looked like a piece of bread but with one taste it was sweeter and softer, 

"this is very good baker what did you do it," she asked looking at the idem her self, 

"I accdntly added too much sugar but if you like it you can have it on me," he told her wrapping up the lofe he had cut from and gave it to her which she slipped in her back 

"thank you, and could we also get a lofe of bread," she asked, 

"here you go," he handed her a fresh on as she slipped a coin on the counter 

"Farewell," she said walking out 

"good day," he waved back,  

"so I need to get some leather for making bracelets for next week, there's a street fair going on next week and that could make quite a bit," Lucy told hiccup walking over to a shoe shop they would give her the extra from the shoes that they didn't need,

"Okay, I'm going to some stuff for my armour, ill met you back at the house," hiccup waved her walking off to an armoury to collect spare metal and other supplies, 

5 years later

Lucy and hiccup had found them selfs living in a village called the dragons den the  dragons den was a play space for humans and dragons alike, the trainer witch where a group of dragon trainers, that looked over the young dragons had to learn had to meet Lucy and hiccup through traveling, the leader of the trainer is lilac she had traveled in time she came from 3012, and well that was all she could say about it. 

lilac wasn't even her real name, she just had been called that because her hair was a destive lilac purple, she and hiccup had started to work together as lilac was an expert trainer, but hiccup was a fast learner. 

mayflower a spunky flower child was the dragon healer her and her sister sunflower had been abanded by there parents jack the co-leader of the Dragons Den, had found them and took care of them, 

"hiccup I need you to take spitfire to the inframty before lunch as she had a tough fall yesterday, and sun says that your need discharge papers, so you'll need a final test." Mayflower looked over her list then looked up at hiccup, 

"got it, anything else," hiccup nodded he had fought the dragon queen, that had left him without a foot, so he had spent the last couple week in the hospital only doing mental task he had wanted to get back into the field again and he had asked for it, but Jack wanted a note from Mayflower. 

"nope that should be it," she smiled up then called a dragon in to be examed  

"hey hic," Lucy taped his shoulder from behind, 

"lucy hey, how are you feeling," she had gone with him getting bad burn marks and broke a couple bones, 

"better than yesterday so that good I've been told you're getting out," she moved to against the wall leaning she still wasn't strong enough to stay up for too long 

"yes today hopefully, I know that lilac had been riding toothless for me but I miss riding him my self," hiccup laughed, he misses his annoying dragon, his useless reptile, 

"well I should go lie down before sunflower attacks me," Lucy smiled heading back to the ways of her bed 

"rest well," hiccup called after her,  Lucy and hiccup had a different type of relationship lucy being his guide and hiccup being her support, but after the last ride and her injuries she was a little bit out of it. 

"Hiccup get a move on we don't have all day," Sunflower walked over slapping the back of his head and started on another baby dragon and its owner, young Audrey her mother let her keep a baby gronckle but it was in some health troubles and sunflower was fighting hard to help it but it was getting harder, "hi Audrey hi Stardust, how are we doing today," 

hiccup moved to gather up what sunflower had demanded of him, going down to the hospital stables,
