Chapter four

Skylar's POV

well at least history went well. I was able to sit near Scarlett and Summer and it happens that I had this class with the brothers again. we were sat in the back Blain to the left then Summer, Scarlett, me, then Aiden.

I hadn't yet told the girls about Blaine being my mate and all. Scarlett nudged me with her boney elbow "what?" I let out with a small chuckle. she was excited for something. "we. have. class. with the Calloway brothers!!!" she semi squealed. she has a fangirl side to her that obsesses over the group of guys Blaine and Aiden belonged to.

The group consists of Blaine, Aiden, Parker, Gunner, Zyler, and Cain and they all belong to the Phoenix pack. it pays to do your research.

Our mate is an Alpha!!! my wolf screamed at me... she is sometimes easily excited. I guess it is a good choice I made with Connor.

"what's up munchkin" Aiden playfully said as he put his hand on my left shoulder and head over my right. "oh go away Aiden" I laughed quietly. "and what's with the nickname? im not all that short!" "well you're shorter than me" he said as he slid into his seat. I had turned back around to talk more to Scarlett, but she looked like she saw a ghost.

'he sits next to me in second as well'. I told her through the mind link. she then had a look of "oh" before turned around in her seat and the class started.

Blaine's POV

''you just love to torture me don't you young brother?'

'why dearest brother of mine, of course not!' Aiden stated through the mind link with oh so much sarcasm coating it.

my thoughts were racing through the entire class and I couldn't stop fidgeting. so many emotions running through me at once. anxiety, jealousy, anger, and lust just to name a few. how am I keeping myself in check? oh I don't know maybe cause of all the humans around.

if they weren't here I'd kill my brother for touching my mate. no one does. I haven't even had the chance of talking to her yet.  she always seems to just disappear.

looks like I have a tricky one on my hands.

Skylar's POV

after that class I managed to slip out with giving a smirk in Blaine's direction. as soon as he caught it however, he made his way over. to bad I disappeared within the crowd.

the rest of the day went on without much of anything happening.

I met the girls by our lockers and we all walked to the car together. we just made random talk before I felt his presence behind us. I picked my pace earning a weird look from Scarlett and Summer. apparently though I wasn't quick enough however. Aiden almost tackled me to the ground in a bone crushing hug. " munchkin!!!!!!" he said ever so loudly "get...off...can't...breathe..." I managed to get out. yet I heard a growl and I could tell it was Blaine. "what? calling me fat now munchkin???!!!" he smirked at me as Blaine stood next to him. "maybe.." I smirked back.

"well we have to get going we have a pack meeting to be attending to soon" i simply stated before turning and leaving with the girls.

"what's going on between you and the Calloway brothers?" they asked inquisitively. "oh nothing really I'm just friends with Aiden but Blaine is my mate, no big deal."  I parked in front of my house where the meeting will be taking place. "no big deal??? that's a HUGE DEAL!!! your mate is the alpha of the strongest pack in America!!" "your dad is gonna be proud!!!" "wait aren't you joining Connors pack for a while?" they both said the last one in unison. "yeah I am, that's why I've been avoiding him all day" you figure as soon as you've seen your mate it's hard to be away, imagine talking and being together then saying 'oh yeah im going to go live an I single alpha's pack as Luna for now' he would have a fit and I don't need that or as that one person people quote 'nobody got time for dat'.

it is true however, I don't.

"you have to talk to him! he is your mate!!! think about what he is going through right now he is probably thinking what the hell!!" summer just about screeched. "Summer, Summer, Summer, please calm down you are yelling and top people of the pack can probably hear you and I don't need my father knowing quite yet, if we tell him, I won't have the opportunity to learn the position and I will make a fool out of our pack when I join him." I told her through the mind link so the others won't know besides Scarlett. "you promise to talk to him soon?" Scarlett added. I just nodded," lets go.

the meeting was, well, boring they just talked about how much its an honor to be joining Connor. there was only one thing that stood out to me. they said they were hoping that maybe Connor and I might build up a bond that can 'replace' a mate, its strong but not as strong as an actual instant bond between two mates.

I've only really ever heard of it slightly back when my dad was training me. never known my pack would put that upon me. that isn't fair to neither Blaine nor I.

I need to talk to Blaine, and I will tomorrow.
