The summer sun shimmered above the forest as Amber and Nathan drove up the winding mountain road toward their honeymoon cabin. The air smelled of pine and wildflowers, warm but fresh, the kind of summer day that made everything feel alive. It had been a week since their wedding on June 15th, and now, for the first time in months, the world felt calm. Amber rested her head against the window, watching sunlight filter through the trees. Her heart felt light. Nathan reached over and took her hand, his thumb brushing gently against her skin. "You're quiet," he said, glancing at her with a grin. Amber smiled softly, "Just happy. It's so peaceful here." Nathan smiled back. "It's our time to relax. No pack meetings, no stress just us." When they reached the cabin, it looked like something out of a dream. The little wooden house sat between tall pine trees with flowers blooming around the porch. The sound of a nearby waterfall filled the air. Amber stepped out of the car, tilting her face toward the sunlight. "It's perfect," as he whispered. Nathan came up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "So are you.'' Inside, the cabin was cozy and bright, sunlight shining across polished wood floors. There was a stone fireplace, a small kitchen, and a big bed covered with soft white blankets. Amber ran her hand over the wood walls, feeling instantly at home. They spent their first day exploring the mountain trails. The forest was full of birdsong and the scent of warm earth. When Amber shifted into her white wolf form, the sunlight made her fur glow like silver. Nathan's black wolf ran beside her, his steps strong and steady. They chased each other through the trees, laughing through their mind link. You can't keep up with me, Amber teased. Watch me, Nathan replied playfully. He caught her near a stream, tackling her gently into the grass. She laughed and nipped at his ear before shifting back, brushing a left from his hair. "You always have to win," she said, smiling. Nathan grinned. "Only when it comes to you." That night, they cooked dinner together steak and roasted vegetables, with sweet tea and strawberries for dessert. They ate on the porch as the sun went down, painting the sky orange and pink. Amber leaned against Nathan's shoulder."You know," she said softly, "I never imagined we'd get this far. After everything we've been through. Are kissed her temple."We deserve this peace, Amber. You fought hard for everyone for your family, for me, for the packs. You can finally rest." She smiled, her heart full. "It feels strange to rest, but nice. I like it." Each day felt like a gift. They hiked to waterfalls, swam in the cold river water, and watched the stars at night. Sometimes they sat quietly, listening to crickets and owls, saying nothing at all. Amber often woke early, stepping outside barefoot as mist rose over the trees. Her wolf, Star, stirred inside her, calm and content. He's good for us, Star whispered. Amber smiled. He's my home. A week passed, and soon it was to return home to the Red pack. Their parents were waiting for them with warm smiles. Amber's father, John, hugged her tight, while her mother, Rose, wiped away tears of joy. Even her little brother Jaden and sister Brianna couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the wedding had been. Back at home, a letter from their school waited on Amber's desk graduation day was only a week away. She had nearly forgotten how close it was. Katia, Molly, and Matthew messaged her that same night. "We did it!" Katia wrote. "Graduation's in seven days! You better not miss it, Mrs. Newlywed!" Amber laughed as she read the message. It felt good to be a normal teenager again just Amber, nit the white wolf or future alpha, but the girl who had worked hard to finish school despite everything. Graduation day arrived under a bright blue sky. The ceremony was held outdoors, the field decorated with flowers and banners. Amber wore her cap and gown proudly, her long white hair shimmering in the sunlight. When her name was called, she walked across the stage with confidence. "Amber of the Red pack!" the announcer said. From the crowd, she heard Nathan cheering the loudest. Her parents clapped proudly while Brianna and Jaden waved. Amber smiled so wide her cheeks hurt. After the ceremony, her friends surrounded her with hugs. "I can't believe it's over," Molly said, laughing. Katia grinned. "We survived homework, tests, and wolf drama. That deserves a party." Matthew tossed his cap into the air. :And no more school alarms!" They all laughed together, their voices full of happiness. Amber looked around at the people she loved her friends, her family, and her mate and realized she had everything she'd ever wished for. That evening, everyone gathered at the pack grounds to celebrate. Long tables were covered with food, music filled the air, and children played while the adults talked and danced. The sunset glowed over the trees. Amber and Nathan danced barefoot under the lights, smiling at each other. "This," Nathan said softly, "is exactly what I hoped for." Amber looked up at him. "Me too.'' As they danced, laughter surrounded them. The packs that once fought now stood together, talking as one family. It was the peace Amber had always dreamed of. Later, when the stars came out, Amber and Nathan walked away from the crowd to the quiet edge of the forest. Fireflies glowed around them, their light flickering softly in the summer air. Amber took Nathan's hand. "Thank you," she said gently. "For what?" he asked. "For never giving up on me. For loving me, even when things were hard.'' Nathan smiled. "You're my mate, Amber. You're everything to me." She rested her head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat. "Then let's make every day like this one." He kissed her forehead. "We will." As they stood under the stars, Amber's heart swelled with warmth. She had fought through storms and pain to reach this peace. The moonlight bathed her in silver, her white wolf spirit glowing faintly beneath her skin. For now, the world was quiet. There were no battles, no fears only love, laughter, and the soft sound of summer. And as the night went on, Amber knew that this was what she had always been fighting for a life worth living, and a future filled with joy.
