Alec was on break. It was around midnight. The club was only getting more wild.

Alec walked in to the quiet and empty bathroom. It was a nice difference from what the rest of the club was like, loud and dark.
Alec walked to the sinks and washed his face. When he looked up and in to the mirror, he gasped and turned, seeing Magnus.

Magnus looked like he just entered. The two boys stared at each other. Yet again.
Alec didn't know what to think. Magnus just told him to watch himself before, so he didn't know if Magnus was about to tell him off yet again, or if Alec should. He just stayed quiet.

Magnus just turned and walked to a stall, in.
"Okay then,"
Alec murmured and went to dry his hands. He finished with that, turning around and bumping in to Magnus.
"What the hell,"
Alec exhaled and took a step back. Magnus just shrugged and walked past Alec, to the sinks.
Alec should have really left the restroom to get back to work, but he just stayed there, staring at Magnus, which was probably a bad move. Alec didn't understand, did they keep on having strange meetings, or was Magnus following him? Alec didn't want to think like crazy, but Magnus seemed to be everywhere.

Magnus washed his hands, keeping his attention on his reflection in the mirror.

Alec thought Magnus was a little.. normal. A little weird.

Magnus didn't know if he was following Alec or not. What? He thought Alec was really hot, but he also wanted to be the best on the job, and he knew Alec was. Magnus wanted competition. The best way was to make your competition nervous. Magnus figured it was working. Alec seemed rattled a bit.

"Excuse me, are you going to just stand there and stare at me all night?" Magnus questioned. Alec looked flustered suddenly and he shook his head, "I-I was leaving, uh, yeah," he turned an went to pull the door open, but it wouldn't open. Magnus smirked and rolled his eyes.

Alec cleared his throat and pushed the door open, walking out, the door clicking shut behind him.

Alec walked home at around one in the morning, alone. He wasn't as exhausted as yesterday, because yesterday was just crazy with how many people showed up, and how late Alec worked. Tonight was normal time, with normal work. Except now he was stressed with Magnus.
Alec couldn't lose the spot of number one.

Alec leaned against a pole, waiting for the cars to stop. He looked down at his phone, scrolling through messages between Jace and him.
It was pretty much pitch black outside.

Suddenly, Alec felt air on the back of his neck. The male paused and just stood there, looking confused, as if he was trying to realize what he felt. Alec then turned around, face to face with Magnus.

Alec gasped and put his phone away, "oh. Uh, hey-"
Magnus shoved past Alec and walked off through the street, to the other side of the road.
Alec tilted his head a little. He didn't want to look like he was following Magnus, so he walked a little slower behind him, keeping his attention on passing buildings.

Magnus wasn't following Alec to begin with. He simply left the same time and took the same route, but when he saw Alec, he immediately took the chance. Magnus wasn't in a rush to get home. He lived alone, not knowing where his parents were. They kind of just left, but Magnus didn't make a big deal of it. He didn't really care. Though, he needed some money. Magnus took up the job opportunity on the club.

Alec sighed and looked around, trying to casually walk. Alec froze though, when Magnus stopped.

Magnus heard Alec's breathing.

Magnus turned. He didn't even look phased. Just.. blank.
Alec looked shocked.

"Oh. Hey, Magnus, uh-"
"I know what you were doing, Alec." Magnus simply stated. Alec tilted his head a little, trying to play dumb, "pft, what are you talking about? That's crazy. Pft.." Magnus actually smirked, and let out a little laugh, "you feel threatened. You want to know why you feel threatened. And that starts off with knowing about me. Right?" Magnus shrugged.

Alec was amazed. Magnus was really smart, he'll give him that. "Then walk with me, Alexander."

Alec looked confused as to how he could have knew his full name, but he went along with it. Magnus started walking, and Alec ran to catch up. "Tell me. What's your position on this job?" Magnus asked. Alec shrugged, "I just work like everyone else."

Magnus shook his head, "no, no. You're a favorite. You really love this job. You need the money, you feel. You want to live alone. To start a new and better life for yourself."

At this point, Alec was actually scared, a little. How did Magnus know all this? It was strange.
Alec tried to form words, but he couldn't. Magnus looked amused.

"And why do you need the money?" Alec suddenly asked, shocked that the words came out. Magnus didn't seem to have a problem with it, though, "for the same reason." He stated, avoiding eye contact with Alec. "Oh," Alec murmured and looked down.

He decided to change the subject, to ease the awkwardness. "So, uh, Magnus, what do you like to do?"
Magnus looked confused, but he just went with it. "Nothing. Not much."
Alec scoffed, "you can't just-come on. There has to be something." He nodded. Magnus shrugged, "I like to dance. That's it."

Alec smiled, "see. That's something. There you go."
Magnus looked up at Alec, "you're turn, Alexander."
Alec looked flushed. "O-Oh, right. Okay. Um.."

The boys were interrupted by Alec's phone. He checked it. The text was from his father, making Alec sigh. Magnus looked curious, "your father?"

Alec's eyes flashed to Magnus. "How would you know-"
Magnus sighed, "I have to go. You should get back, too. See you tomorrow, Alexander."

And with that, Magnus walked off, disappearing in to the busy town. Alec was left standing there, looking absolutely bewildered about the whole situation.
He checked the message.
'Get home Alexander, you're late, we're getting ready for bed.'
Alec sighed, "fuck you," he muttered to himself as he put his phone away, hurrying off.

When Alec walked inside, the house was dark. Everyone was upstairs, so Alec was quiet. He kicked his shoes off, slipping his jacket off. Alec heard small footsteps. He turned his head and saw his little brother, Max, standing there. He looked like he just woke up. Alec smiled and knelt down to his height, putting a hand on his little brother's shoulder. "Hey, Max. It's late. What are you doing awake?
Max rubbed his eye, "bad dream." He whispered. Alec nodded, "okay, well why don't you head upstairs, I'll check up on you in a few minutes and get rid of those bad dreams, okay?"
Max nodded, "okay." He whispered and ran off upstairs. Alec sighed and stood up.
