Clato; the real star-crossed lovers

Chapter 3

My whole life flashes before my eyes. Daniel ruined my happiness. He destroyed my happy ending. I fall down, unconscious.

Cato's POV

"Seriously guys. Your going to have to kill each other in a few weeks." Cloves older brother Daniel says. Clove falls down, and i catch her. "Clove? Clove wake up." I say. "Clove wake up." I say more firm. "CLOVE!!" I yell. "Calm down." Shade tells me. "DONT TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!!" Cloves older sister, Ari, takes Clove out of my hands. "CALM DOWN CATO!!" Shade yells. I slap her across the face, and theres a big red handprint there. "SHADE!!" Daniel yells. "Guys, Clove isn't breathing." Ari says. "MAKE HER BREATHE!!" I yell tears forming in my eyes. "Call 9-11." Ari says, I grab the phone, and i dial 9-11 "9-11 whats your emergency?" the operator asks, "My girlfriend, she isn't breathing." "Ill get an ambulance, just tell me what happened." I sniff, "okay. I walked in and kissed her, and her brother said that we'll have to kill each other in the games, and then she just fainted and i caught her. Please just help her." "An ambulance will be there soon. Just put a wet rag on her head, and if she stops breathing, give her CPR." "Ok." I reply. I hang up, and wet a rag, i place it on Cloves forehead, and i see her chest moving up and down. The door opens, and nurses come in. They set her on the couch, and give her a shot, and she wakes up. "Huh?" "Clove!" I lunge towards her, tears slightly coming out of my eyes. "What happened?" She asks me.

"You passed out." Ari says, "My head hurts." She says. "You should rest." The nurse says, she lays down, and i stand up, all of the sudden she goes still. "Clove?" Shade asks, she starts to flop around like a fish out of water, and i panic. "CLOVE!" I scream. "Get him out." The nurse says. "NO!!CLOVE!!! PLEASE!!!" I struggle to escape them, considering it takes Daniel, Shade, Ari, Clove's dad, and Enobaria. "Please." I beg. I kick Daniel in the leg, and he falls down. "Daniel!" Shade yells, she lets me go, and then, i try to bite Enobaria, but she growls at me, and flashes her teeth, bad idea. Clove's dad has my right arm, along with Enobaria, and Ari has my left. They're dragging me, and my legs are just hanging. I kick Ari, and she falls down, releasing my lefthand. I swing my left hand, and slap Enobaria across the face. Then i punch Clove's dad in the nose, and I run. One of my enemies, Jack comes up, and he starts to try and punch me. After trying to slap him, i crack his neck. I run back to the Victor's Village, and run through Clove's front door.

When I run in, Clove is just waking up. "Clove." I gasp for air. "Cato!" She cheers. She jumps up, and hugs me. "Where's everyone else?" The front door opens, and Shade helps Daniel limp in. Then comes in Ari with rock marks on her leg, long with shoelaces and a footprint. Then comes in Enobaria looking furious with a hand on her face. Then Cloves dad with a fist on his cheek. Clove looks stunned. "What happened?" Clove asks, "He happened." Ari says pointing to me. Clove looks at me, "why?" Is all she asks, "They were taking me away from you. I wanted to be there with my Clover." Is all i say. She smiles, and Enobaria lunges at me, she rolls me onto the ground, and starts to smile, she slaps me, and says, "lets take a trip to the river." "Oh fuck no." I say. "You still remeber that?" Enobaria says, "yes. I still have pirannah teeth marks on my leg." She smirks, "well now youre gonna have my teeth marks." She says i close my eyes waiting for the impact, but i hear laughing. I open my eyes, and see Enobaria laughing. "Im kidding! I cant mentor someone almost dead!" Enobaria looks at the clock, and looks at the time, "its almost 7 you should go Cato. Tomorrow is a big day!" I nod, and walk out the door, clove following. "Ill see you tomorrw, by our spot?" She asks, tears in her eyes. I nod, and kiss her. When we let go, i see tears coming out of her eyes. "Save them." I say wiping them away. "Cato, I don't want to kill you, your my boyfriend." She says, sobbing into my shirt. I lift up her chin, making her look at me, "we'll figure something out, but, you should get some rest. Ill see you tomorrow." She nods, and i hug her. "I love you." She says in my shoulder. "I love you too." I say barely a whisper. I turn around, and walk inside my house. I kick my shoes off, and then i run upstairs, take a shower, and crawl under my covers, the last thing i see, is clove crying for help, blood everywhere, and a cannon with my still little clover
