I laid in bed that morning after the lake. The thought of Asher ran through my mind. He could touch me and I didn't get an episode or see inside his thoughts.

His skin was warm against mine and soft. I didn't realize I was smiling now. But moment was broken when I heard my mother knocking on the door.

"Koda, you're gonna be late for school!."

I was actually happy to get up and go to school for once. I got and opened my closet door switching on the light. I didn't go for what I normally do, which a plain shirt and bell bottom jeans with leather boots.

I picked out this shirt my mom bought. It was white with flowy sleeves and a scoop neck. I picked light blue jeans to match with it and my go to leather boots.

I sat at my vanity to do a little bit of makeup so I didn't look pale like I normally do. Then I curled my hair. After I finished I grabbed my black gloves that would go with my top and jeans.

I come downstairs and round the corner to my parents eating breakfast. Ed had the newspaper in his hands and reading glasses. My mom was helping Judy cutting her over easy eggs.

"Hey mom do you think I could borrow some perfume?." That statement made both my parents look up. My father's eyewidened. My mother on the other hand had her hand over her heart. "You look so gorgeous, you finally wore the shirt I got you."

I smiled softly as my mother walked over giving me a full twirl to see the whole outfit. "Ed she looks like a grown woman now."
"Too grown." My father groans.

I could help but laugh softly. "Is this for that boy you hung out with at the lake that stood up for you?." Ed asks.

I shrugged with a shy smile. I told my parents what happened yesterday because Laura didn't know how to stay quiet. "Yes, sweetheart you can borrow some perfume."

Lorraine took my gloved hand to lead me to her and my father's bedroom. She goes to her vanity and picks up a glass bottle with a gold liquid in it.

"It's musky so I hope you don't mind." She sprays the perfume in the hot spots. Behind the ear and wrists, she pulled down my gloves enough to get it.

"I wanna meet this boy." Lorraine adds one more spritz to my clothes. "Does he know about?." She trails off touching the gloves lightly.

I nodded my head. "It turns out he's just like me." Lorraine's brows raised up. "Oh?."

"He can see spirits like you do." I explain. Lorraine smiles softly now, then she pulled me into a hug. "Invite him to dinner okay?."

I nodded my head hugging my mother back. She's always wanted me to meet someone who would accept me and love me for me. Just like her and my father.

And I think mine is Asher.
