Chapter 3: Performance, Lunch and Suspicions

You were playing your violin in the Institute's auditorium because you got the staff to put you behind Ibuki to get ready. The staff believed that everyone would need something to help the audience recover from Ibuki's music.

Everyone listened to you playing the violin, and you felt the energy. After you finished playing, everyone applauded, and you bowed before leaving backstage. There, Kaede appeared before you.

Kaede: "Yuri, that was amazing. I even saw some people crying."

"I was just doing my best. I couldn't let them down, nor could I just let Ibuki's music traumatize them for too long. You did great as well."

Kaede: "Thank you."

The two of you left and went to the cafeteria, where you grabbed a light lunch before walking to find a table.

Tenko: "Yuri, over here."

You looked to see Tenko at a table with Shuichi and Kaede.

"Hi, Tenko."

Tenko: "Come sit here."

"Are you sure?"

Shuichi: "Tenko is sure. And trust me, when she offers you something, she won't let you say no."

Kaede: "Yep. She's stubborn. Way too stubborn."

Tenko: "Hey, that's uncalled for, but still sit with us."

"Okay," you said after pondering the question, then, you sat down next to Tenko.

Once you began eating, Shuichi noticed how light your food is, and so did Tenko.

"Hey Yuri, would you like my hamburger? I don't want it anymore."

"That's okay. I'm fine."

Shuichi: "You sure, Yuri? You look like you've hadn't had a good meal in a while."

Yuri: "Oh, I get that. I'm just trying to watch my weight. Got to have a proper diet for my concerts and performances."

Kaede: "There's nothing wrong with eating a bit more than you usually do."

Tenko: "And you won't grow any faster if you don't eat properly, so just take it."

You conceded, and accepted the hamburger. You took a bite out of it and chewed slowly to savor it. Tenko blushed a little at the sight and tried her best to hide it. Shuichi does notice it, but stayed quiet.

"Thank you."

Tenko: "You're welcome."

Shuichi then got up and took his plate back, followed by Kaede.

Kaede: "Shuichi, you're getting pretty suspicious of Yuri."

Shuichi: "I saw reports of a car accident, and one car she was supposedly in. I could see on the news and talks that her family is acting different than before, like they're trying to suppress something."

Kaede: "You want to invade her privacy?"

Shuichi: "I want to help her. She clearly has a lot going on. If I knew what the problem truly was, maybe I could better help her, but I'll admit it's a gamble. So, I want your opinion."

Kaede: "I have a friend who owes me one. They can help get us into the archives."

The two nodded and saw you talking with Tenko.

Tenko: "Hey Yuri, is there any chance I could come to your house sometime? And also bring Angie and Himiko to crash as well?"

Yuri: "I'll have to talk with my family, but I'll let you know."

Tenko: "Thank you, Yuri."

You blushed and looked away. Soon, your mind become filled with worry.
