Chapter Twenty-Eight

I woke up in the morning laying on Blake on the couch. I slowly got out if Blake's grip and stretched. I padded dlwm the hall to the bathroom as I grabbed one of baggy shirts.

I walked out wearing the shirt and my hair in a messy bun. I made my way to the kitchen and started to make some pancakes. Well I did once I found everything. I looked in the fridge and grabbed the bacon. I had just started to make the bacon when I felt arms wrap around my waist.

"This is a nice way to start the day." Blake said as he kissed my cheek.

"Can you make some coffee?" I asked him.

"Sure. What brand would you like?"

"The strongest one."

"Death Wish Coffee it is." He said before he let me go.

"You're up early on the weekend, Blake." I heard a lady say as I heard heels click on the ground.

"Is it a sin to wake up early mom?" Blake asked.

"Normally when you are up early on the weekend is after a one night stand." She said and I held the fork tighter.

"And yet you or dad never noticed that I stopped having one night stands." He said and I could feel his gaze on me.

"Good morning, Mrs. Hendricks. Would you like some pancakes and bacon?" I asked her with a small smile.

"Sierra I should have known you got him up." She said.

"Mom, Sierra is getting Blade up. This is Danielle my girlfriend. She just happens to be Sierra's best friend." Blake said as he sat a cup of coffee by me.

"Oh I'm sorry you heard what my idiot son used to do." She said.

"It's fine ma'am. I knew all about what he used to do before we started dating." I said as I heard my phone go off.

"I'll go grab your phone." Blake said as he placed a soft kiss on my head before leaving the kitchen.

"How'd you do it?" Mrs. Hendricks asked me.

"Do what?" I asked her with a confused look as I switched the cooked bacon from the pan to a plate.

"You changed him."

"Changed how?"

"I've never seen him so happy when he looked at someone. I also never seen him smile and pull someone closer in his sleep." She said and I felt my face heat up.

"I um. I don't know what to say." I said as I turned the stove off.

"We got to go." Blake said as he ran back into the kitchen.

"What? Why?" I askef as I held my coffee.

"He got Sierra with a knife. He's barely alive right now but I'm not sure how Sierra is. Blade wasn't making much sense." He said and I dropped my cup in shock.

"What? She's hurt?" I asked in a quite voice.

"She's being taken to the hospital. That was the last clear thing I was able to understand from Blade." Blake said.

"Let's go." I said as I raced out the kitchen. I grabbed a jacket and my shoes.

"Go. I'll clean up." Mrs. Hendricks said.

"Thanks mom." Blake said as he grabbed his shoes before he grabbed my hand and dragged me through the house.

"We're taking my bike." Blake said as he took out his leather jacket and put it on.

"Um okay." I said as I slipped my shoes on.

"Don't worry. It's just we'll get to her faster." He said as he handed me a helmet. I nodded and took it from him.
