Broken (Ashton Irwin Fanfic)

Safe.

I walk quickly out of the house so I wouldn't have to face Aaron. I didn't even try to think about breakfast. I just walked to my car and ignored my stomach growling.

When I got to school, I tried to keep my head down to avoid any boys, but sadly it didn't work.

I walked up to my locker to find Aaron and his friends. Instead of beating me up, they did something much worse.

They pinned me against my locker, and one of them forcefully started kissing me.

"Please stop." I squeaked.

They started touching my arms, one of them touched my thigh.

Violent tears cascaded down my cheeks. Make it stop. Please.

"Hey, get off her!" An Australian voice said.

They all stepped back and looked at him. One of them walked toward him, slamming him into a locker.

"STOP!" I shouted.

They stopped and looked at me.

"NO ONE BEATS UP MY FRIEND." I bravely said.

I sprinted down the hall, one of the guys following closely behind me.

My legs were burning as I finally managed to run outside, getting away from them.

I sat by a tree and steadied my breathing. I brought my knees up to my chest and just sat there.

Maybe I should just kil-

"Lily, are you okay?"

"Uh, yeah. Sure."

I looked up and saw Ashton standing in front of me. He sat down beside me and stared at me.

"What?"

"I'm really sorry."

"I don't need your pity, Ashton."

In that moment, I felt his arms wrap around me. I buried my head into his chest. I felt his lips against my head. "It's okay. You're safe with me." He says. He stood up and helped me stand up. "Let's get to class. I'll make up some excuse." He says.

Skip to lunch...

I sat down at the table with Bella.

"You're not going to eat anything?"

"I had a big breakfast." I lied.

She seemed suspicious, but said, "Okay then."

"Hey Ashton." We all said in unison.

He smiled and said, "Hey!"

He looked at me and saw I had nothing to eat. "Did you already eat?"

"She had a big breakfast." Bella answered for me.

"Oh okay, do you want to split a cookie or something?"

"No, I'm fine."

He had a worried expression, but didn't say anything.

End of school...

"Hey do you want to go to my house today? You could meet my family." Said Ashton.

"Uh, sure."

I texted Aaron.

Hey, I'm going to Bella's. I'll be back around 7:00.

I clicked my phone off, and walked with Ashton.

"Listen, Ashton. I think I should work on the project by myself. It's a little hard to be hanging out with you around my boyfriend. He's a little overprotective."

Ashton looked mad.

"Why are you even with him?"

"I like him."

"He's a jerk!"

"He's really not..."

"He treats you like crap!"

"CAN YOU JUST DROP IT!" I shouted.

He stayed silent.

I sighed. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't mean to get mad, can we just talk about something else."

"Yeah. Tell me about yourself, Lily."

"What do you want to know?

"What's your family like?"

Oh great. He gets the whole "my parents died" speech.

"They, um, died in a car accident when I was 16."

"Oh. Sorry, I didn't know that."

I didn't notice the tears rolling down my cheeks until he stopped walking and wiped the tears off of my face. Gosh I'm such a crybaby. He pulled me into a tight hug.

We stayed like that for a good 8 minutes.

I feel like this story is moving too fast :/
