Hi! So this is my Tenrose fanfic! I'm not very good at writing but I thought I would give it a shot!

"Doctor over here!!" Rose shouted as she spotted the staircase. The Doctor stopped his own search of the stairs and ran to Rose's side. Being the protector he is, he made Rose run up in front of him, putting him between her and the Cybermen, whose stomping could be heard even outside the building.

"Hurry Rose" he said in a hushed voice as the small army of Cybermen rounded the corner and had the Doctor and Rose in their sights. She slipped her hand in his for reassurance and laced her fingers with his. She dragged him up the stairs with her.

Running was the easy part. That was Rose's favorite part. Just her and her Doctor.

Now, the Cybermen, they were not such a relaxing thought.

Rose could hear the marching of the metal men and she was struggling to stay focused on the running. She looked back to see the army gaining on them. 'They're surprisingly fast' Rose wondered. 'Although I've never seen them run' the thought made her snort with laughter but the Doctors worried voice brought her out of her daydream.

"Rose!!" He shouted over his shoulder. She turned back to look at the Doctor, who was now in front of her and practically dragging her up the stairs. They made eye contact for a brief moment before Rose's eyes shifted to something over his shoulder. Well, 'somethings'. Another small army of Cybermen were waiting for them at the top of the stairs.

The Doctor saw her eyes shift and he spun around to see the Cybermen. He hit himself in the forehead for not noticing earlier that the Cybermen had split into two groups. They were surrounded on the staircase.

The Doctor grabbed Rose and pulled her close to him, desperately trying to fulfill his promise to Jackie of protecting Rose.

Rose however, had her eyes darting all around the area searching for a way to get out of their sticky situation. After realizing the only two options, (jump the railing and fall to their deaths, or be deleted by the Cybermen) she clung to the Doctor in fear.

She looked up at the Doctor. He had a devastated look on his face. Not because he was about to be killed, but because he could not protect his lovely companion as much as he wanted to.

"It's not your fault" she whispered to him and wondered what was taking the Cybermen so long. She looked at the groups of robots.

"Go on then! Kill us! You said we were 'rejects'! So go on and kill us!" She yelled. The Doctor stared at her.

The Cybermen slowly stomped their way up (and down. two armies!) the stairs and to the figures that were clinging to each other.

Just as two Cybermen had stepped forward and extended their arm at the Doctor and Rose's necks, Rose reached up and grabbed the Doctors cheeks and pulled him in for a kiss.

Rose had her eyes closed. If this was the last thing she were to do, then she was going to enjoy it! She was not going to die without kissing her Doctor.

The Doctor though, his eyes had widened so far they looked like they were about to pop out of his head. He kept his arms around her though, and that surprised him.

The Cybermen had stopped out of confusion at such a display of emotion by Rose, given, emotion was not their strong suit.

Rose pulled away and avoided eye contact. 'Even if he hated it, he can't just dump me back home! Because we're about to die!' She thought to herself and strangely laughed.

The Cybermen had regained their wits and were all bellowing "Delete!!" Until their words were interrupted by a strange, yet familiar groaning and wheezing sound.

When the Doctor and Rose looked around again, they were inside the Tardis. The Cybermen stared at the Blue Box that had just materialized around their victims. They stomped away in defeat.

The metal men hadn't gotten far before the doors to the Tardis burst open and a weapon shocked every last one of the Cybermen.

Holstering his weapon, CaptainJack Harkness closed the Tardis doors and flashed a grin at Rose and the Doctor, who had pulled away from each other and were definitely avoiding eye contact.

"Did you miss me?" Jack said smugly.
