After I got the call from my boss that ended my job, I went over to Louis's house.

I didn't know how this happened, he gave me vacation time and now I'm jobless. That job is the best thing that's happened to me.

Because it led me to Harry.

I immediately shook the thought, I don't even know him that well.

Okay, I know every basic detail there is to know thanks to my job.

But, I never got to know Harry personally. I want to know his favorite band. I want to know his favorite food. I want to know what he plans to do with his future. Most important, I want to know why he doesn't like to leave his house.

I arrived at Louis's house and decided not to knock before I went in. We all know each other to just come in, Niall has been at my house when I wasn't home so you could say we are all pretty close.

"Shit, I'm sorry!" I screamed as I saw the sight before me.

Louis was completely naked, hair a complete mess, with another naked body half hidden under the blankets laying on the couch.

We were close, but not this close.

I threw my hands to cover my eyes but not soon enough to see who popped their head up from the couch.

My hands went back to my sides and my mouth dropped. I managed to mutter out a single word.

"Eleanor?"

Louis stood there like a deer in the headlights.

"We, uh broke up. She was using me for money and was seeing someone else the entire time." Louis said slowly.

My heart broke a bit but there was a serious issue here as well. "So you slept with Niall?"

The blonde boy looked up with an uncomfortable expression clear on his face.

"Well he said he was going to come-"

"I don't want to hear about your sex life." I interrupted.

"Ashton, I wasn't done. He said he was going to come to my house because I was still upset over my break up. He was comforting me and one thing led to another."

"So he's a rebound."

"He can hear you." Niall said from this place, still on the couch.

"He's not a rebound, he's just...there for comfort."

I looked at Niall and saw he's blue eyes becoming shiny from tears that threatened to fall.

"Okay I know this isn't my place, but I suggest not using your best friend for that type of comfort unless you have actual feelings for him."

Louis looked at the ground and I walked off, shortly followed by the blonde that is now dressed.

We both walked back to my car and I drove us to my place.

"I didn't know." Niall muttered on the way there.

"Know what."

"That he was using me. I mean I had this suspicious but I wanted to believe he actually liked me."

I sighed.

We stayed quiet the rest of the ride. Niall decided to stay at my house that night, but I didn't see him much. He stayed in the room next to mine, and I heard him cry all night. I considered going over there to comfort, but I knew he wanted to be alone for awhile.

I was rudely woken from pounding on my door.

"Coming!" I shout. The pounding doesn't ease up, it actually gets worse.

"Jesus Christ this better be important." I mutter.

I open the door to a livid Luke.

"What the fuck did you do to Louis."

I raised my eyebrows.

"What did I do? Maybe you should figure out what Louis did to Niall."

"What does Niall have to do with this?"

"Louis didn't tell you much did he?" I said.

"No, he called me on the phone crying and continuously repeated how Ashton was right."

"Glad he figured that out."

"So are you going to tell me or not?" Luke demanded.

"Not my thing to tell, ask Louis or Niall."

"Fine. I'll go over and ask Louis."

"Careful, he may sleep with you too." Niall muttered scaring both myself and Luke.

Luke stared at Niall for a moment, taking in his bloodshot eyes and messy hair. Then he turned and left.

"How long have you been there?" I asked, shutting the door.

Niall just shrugged.

"I'm going back to bed." I said. I walked into my room, leaving the door open in case Niall needs anything. My eyes closed and I was almost asleep when I felt the bed dip and covers shift around.

I instantly felt warmth and wrapped my arm around the heartbroken boy. Right now, all Niall needs is a friend.

Later in the day I was, again, rudely awoken. This time the obnoxious sound was coming from my phone.

"Hello." I said with my husky morning voice.

I heard a sharp breath. "Hey." Calum's voice filled my ears. "I was wondering if we could go out for dinner tomorrow night."

"Calum, look."

"Or not. It's okay, forget I asked it was a stupid question." Calum rambled on.

"Wait."

The other boy hung up before I got the chance to explain. There was too much going on and I do have a slight crush on Calum's best friend so going on a date with him would be wrong. But then again, I do have to get over Harry somehow, it's obvious he's not interested. Right? There's no way he could be interested in me, I have nothing left to offer plus I recently became unemployed.

A sigh left my mouth and my eyes drifted over to my passed out friend.

These past few days have been a hell of an adventure.
