"Deep breath, I can do this!" trying to collect all your confidence and strength you open the letter and start reading:

Dear [Y/n/N],

It's been quite a while since we contacted each other. I'm sorry about your mother's passing and I hope you are doing better.

Chamber wasn't good at expressing his feelings, neither in person nor in letters. But he always tried his best and even though it hurt you that he wrote about your mother, you knew he meant good by it. "Was he shaking while he wrote the letter?" It was easy to miss, because of how beautiful his Handwriting was. But if you looked closely you could see that at some points his Hand was shaking or unsure about if it's okey to write that.

I know, receiving a letter from me would be the least thing you would want. And I don't even know if you are going to read this or if you just going to throw it away.

He was right, it took you long enough to gather the courage to open the letter. But here you were, sitting in your silent apartment, reading a letter that your Ex-boyfriend wrote. "I should have thrown the letter away" you sigh but you continue to read it.

But if you are reading this, then please come this Saturday to a big surprise party for Viper. She recently finished University in Science as one of the best Students in the city. And all of our friends from Highschool are going to be there.

"Science!" You chuckled "That was so Sabine coded. I knew she would make it, it's Viper!" you felt better now, reading the letter was worth it in the end. Sabine and you were together in Science class in Highschool. She basically teached you.

Flashback

"You Idiot!" Viper scolded you. "Do you know that if you mix these two things together It will blow up?!" she grabbed everything out of your Hands, carefully getting rid of the mixtures. She may seemed Angry but she was worried about your safety. "Common Viper, some boom--" she interrupts you "Stop with the Nicknames [Y/N], it's Sabine! And also...No! No explosions!"

You laughed, the reason you two are currently in the chemistry lab of your Highschool was because Viper wanted to show you the things you missed last chemistry class. But you mostly enjoyed the time with her instead of actually paying attention.

Flashback End

"Viper was always busy with studying. When we hung out it was so much fun", "Even if most of the time we hung out because she wanted to study" you shrugged. Back then you didn't care, If spending time with Viper meant to study you would gladly do it.

"Viper was the one that encouraged Chamber to ask me out on a date!" You remembered, but that memory left an aching feeling behind. Because even after three years, thinking about him and how the time with him was, hurt. It hurt you badly, because you left on bad term. "Stupid memories" you hit the letter on the table. Slowly placing your hands over your face trying to calm yourself, but that one memory real stung like a bee.
