Class didn't start for another 10 minutes so I just check my phone and all over social media and I get a text from amari

Heyyy I will be at your house after I'm done with school so we can hang out for a while ... how's yr morning

Me and amari's really close best friend kind of sibling type relationship means we own each other's houses I can walk into the door and sleep on the living room couch till she gets home its completely normal already...
I responded back .. okay see you there and it's been alright meet a new friend I will tell you later... how's andrewwww

As I was browsing through my phone cody slips me a note it had his number and it said text me sometime? I smile at him and his green eyes looking back at me I put my number in his phone

The bell rings and everyone is at their seat
"Hello class I'm Mrs.Calas and I have you schedules all in here" She directs towards to the stack of red papers on her desk "I will be calling your names one by one please come up to the desk"
.
She calls a few names and I hear my name Freeman
I stand up awkwardly and walk towards the desk she hands me a paper with my schedule and she marks my name in the attendance I sat back down nd read my schedule cody is also looking at the schedule

"Do you uh know where any of these classes are at .." I whispered
.
"Not a clueeee..." says cody as he gets up to get his paper
.
We examine our papers and see we have 3/6 classes the same
This is going to be one long day I think to myself

The lunch bell rings and I walk out my 3rd period class I awkwardly find my way to the eating area and I got a text from may ..

I see her with a few of her friends there are 4 empty seats and I sit by my cousin of course I felt so awkward just sitting there

They all asked me questions about my classes what teachers I had and if I made any new friends
Again I stood out from them but it didn't bother me because May's friends are very kind and welcoming.
I ate the lunch I packed up for myself which was a peace tea, a really cheesy ham sandwich, a kitkat and fruit of course

I put on a earphone in my right ear and I put on payphone cover crown the empire
.
Hailee one of May's friends asked what type of music I listened to I didn't feel like naming the bands I liked because they wouldn't know what I was talking about anyways so I just said hot topic kinda bands
.
Hailee grabbed a hold on my other earphone and listened to the song for a while " heyy isn't this payphone by maroon 5 ... hah it doesn't sound like them" She took off the earphone

"Ohh yeahh it's a cover hahah..." I said awkwardly

A few minutes passed May and her friends are having a discussion about a movie day or spa day kinda thing I was just scrolling through my phone texting amari. I was pretty much zoned out and I didn't realize cody pulled up in a chair right next to me

May looked at cody "soo cuzzoo u made a new frienddd" She says tapping on me to get my attention

"Wait wut ohhhhh ... yeah this is cody aka green eyed monster I meet him in home room"

"Haii guysssss" waves cody

"That's greattt!" May says weirdly smiling

The bell rings and May waves bye I also waved bye ... me and cody talked on our way to the next class sorta having this figured out. we didn't do much work in any class just some weird getting use to in the awkward transition and meeting our teachers and finding out where we sit and all that jazz ...

I made it to the end of the day I go inside my room amari's already comfy eating my after school snacks watching Pretty little Liars on Netflix "sooo how's your day goo brooskiiiee" She says pausing netflix

"Not as bad as I thought actually I meet a new friend his name is cody and he was like the only friend I made" I say putting away my bag and sitting next to her
.
"Ohhh cody ehh and that's good progress for the 1st day I mean I made only one friend in the 1st day and now we have a decent group yannoo!" Explains amari
.
"I see and noo cody is just a friend" nudging her and laughing

"Do you find him attractive in any way??" She asks
.
"I'm not sure he's not a dreamboat boy but he isn't ugly he has nice eyes and great hair his style isn't that bad either too" I explain
.
"Yeahhh well sooner or later your going to get a crush... did u see anyone one cute??" Says amari

"I didn't really focus on anyone actually but we will see I guess not everyone showed up in the 1st day .. " I said confused

That night after amaris mom picked her up, cody text me ... as I texted him I realized he wasn't that bad of a guy but dating him uhh not sure if I see him that way but I can talk to him more tomorrow of course....
