Camelias head hurt, she couldn't sleep.  She turned over once more in bed. A wrong feeling was creeping on her. After her grams death, everything went wrong.  Her dad left for some brunette women ten years younger leaving her mother to herself. Her mother was most of the problems in her life. She drove herself crazy drinking.  But tonight, tonight something was off. Scanning her room, Camila watched the taunted shapes of the shadows that splayed across the walls of her room. She learn long ago that there was every reason to fear the dark. The dark is where the death marched. Shaking her head, and taking a breath. Maybe some tea will calm her nerves.

Getting up from her pink canopy she walked down her stairs to boil some water for tea. The static of the TV was heard from the other room. As she walked across the room to shut off the buzzing tv like she had done countless times before. Camila was stopped though, and her mother was there chugging down another bottle of vodka.

"Dawnt doo hat" her mother slurred her words swatting at her daughter for touching the tv. Camila tried again, "DONT DO THAT!"  She yelled throwing the bottle at the wall next to her. Camila's hands came up to shield herself glass flying at her. An unusually large piece got stuck in her arm.  She screamed and crumbled in pain against the wall.

Her mother was now up, stumbling around. A small black gun was in her mother's hand. She was talking nonsense. Waving the gun around, "you're just like her. So just like her. So pretty. Are you going to leave me to? YOUR GONNA LEAVE ME TO!" Her mother yelled waving the gun as she pointed it.

"Mom! Mom, I'm not gonna leave!" She yelled back her eyes full. She could feel blood dripping down.

"YES YOU ARE! " the older woman wailed.   A shot was fired, the bullet whistling into the wall. Her breath caught, the bullet was next to her head. The golden metal penetrated the wall some strands of her hair caught in the wall. Her breathing was catching. It was coming out short.

Her tears were streaming, now fearing for her own life."Mother, please." Her desperation was seeping into her breathy answer.

Her mother grabbed her by her hair, pressing Camila close to her face. The sharp pain was making her cry out.The cold metal of the gun was hitting Camila's temple. Tears were streaking her face.

"WE'LL BE TOGETHER FOREVER NOW!" Her mothers yelled in hysteria.

For the moment Camila wished Just for anything.

The whistling of the wind hit the windows, and the shadows seemed to quiver in fear. Dark energy was forming.

The gun was pushed further. The cold metal was forcing itself into her temple."TOGETHER FOREVER, NO ONE WILL LEAVE ME AGAIN!"

A crack was heard the grip around Camila was loosened as her body fell to the ground. Her mother was screaming in pain. A dark figure looked at her, and it seemed to be tall with mousy black hair.

Camila moved in to see the new attacker. He was cracking and breaking bones in her mother's body. As scary and evil it looked, she was still in shock. Her mother body fell on the floor. The monsters head turned, electrifying green eyes stared at her.
Her body took a big gulp as she became frozen.
She knew these eyes. It waved its hand, and everything went black.
