The Earth is blessed when it's sunny, when it rains, or when it's refreshed with a cool breeze. The Earth is also battered by extreme heat, powerful storms, and other natural catastrophes.
But the Earth tolerated the bad weather because the good weather served as a distraction and a coping mechanism every once in a while.
Lately, the Earth is battered more often than it is blessed due to sudden climate change.The Earth is tired of all the beating and wants to be free of this cycle.So, the Earth looks at the weather and asks, "How do I get rid of this? How do I stop it? How can I be free?"
And no matter how hard the Earth tries, it can't find an answer. It can't stop the weather, and the battering continues.
But the Earth doesn't give up; it keeps resisting the fact of an unstoppable weather.And now, the Earth lives in complete despair and doesn't know what to do, so it stops thinking, stops resisting, and, defeated, says, "I can't do anything about it."
So, lost in despair, it continues to stay on its orbit with all the unbearable heaviness around it, hopelessly gazing at the dark, stormy clouds day in and day out.
One day, the Earth, with its swollen eyes full of tiredness, is watching the cloud above as usual.And something changes — the Earth feels a sudden surge of energy and says,
"Ahh! So that's what it is."
The Earth is hit with a 'Eureka' moment.
The Earth sees for the first time what has always been right there. The clouds above are part of its own atmosphere and are not separate from the Earth.The Earth is the atmosphere, and the atmosphere is the Earth, for they both are each other's identity.Thus inseparable as long as the Earth remains alive.
So, the thing the Earth was trying to get rid of (dark clouds causing the storm) and the one who was trying to be free (the Earth) were one and the same.
In this realization, the Earth remembers something that has been hidden by its own clouds all this time — something that has never been physically touched by the Earth but has always been seen and reflected in its atmosphere, and has always been a part of the Earth too — the Sky.
The Earth realized that the Sky cannot be reached, but it can be seen through the Earth's atmosphere as long as the Earth is alive.
The Earth, which is mortal, is just a medium to see something in itself that never dies — the immortal Sky.
In that realization, the Earth felt immense freedom, and its identification with all its mortal nature dissolved.It became one with the immortal Sky, becoming a witness of itself, residing in the truth that it was never alone or separate.
The Earth was being watched by the Sky all the time, without becoming the weather beneath. In that witnessing, there was union — and liberation from all sorrow.
