"Good morning Ms. Davis, how are you?" Dr. Mason asked, making her way into the room door.

"I'm good, better than the last visit." I replied honestly.

"How has baby been moving, have you been feeling any pain." Zave was busy scrolling on his phone not paying any attention. "No to the pain and moving like crazy." I laughed rubbing my hand up and down my belly. 

"Good, Iay back I'm going to check the baby's size and make sure everything is fine then we'll go in and see what the sex is, you did want to find out right?" I looked over at Zave who shrugged his shoulders letting me know it was my decision. "Definitely an active baby." She laughed. 

"Can we put it in an envelope, so that we can look later?" I was having so many mixed emotions about finding out the gender of our baby that I honestly wasn't sure what I wanted these days.

"Whatever you like is fine with me, I'll just get all my measurements and make sure baby is doing well and we'll get you going." I laid back allowing Dr. Davis to do her job so that I could head home.

Once the appointment was over Zave and I headed to Cava for a quick snack, I hadn't eaten since this morning, and this baby was not happy about that at all. Zave pulled the door open allowing me to enter first, I went straight to the counter ready to place my order. Everything looked so delicious that I decided instantly I wanted a little of everything if I was being truthful.

"Welcome to Cava, what can I get for you?" The lady behind the glass asked with a smile.

"Can I get the bowl and do you mind just adding a little of everything, nothing spicy though." I told her excitedly. I wasn't paying Zave any mind, I didn't notice he wasn't behind me until I turned around about to ask him a question, but he wasn't there. Quickly scanning the restaurant, I found him sitting at a table outside talking to some girl I didn't know.

"Can I get you anything else?"

"Do you mind, holding on to that? I'm a step right outside and grab my boyfriend to pay, give me one second." I walked off, heading outside where he was. "Is everything okay out here?" They both turned to me.

"Baby, you good? Zave jumped to his feet coming to my side.

"Why are you out here, who's she?" I questioned.

"I'm Parys, the first baby mama." She smartly replied, head snapping side to side like she was trying to prove a point. "And you are?"

"None of your business, Zave can we go my food is waiting."  I grabbed his hand, and we headed back inside. I could feel my energy shifting and my emotions getting the best of me.

"You good?" I didn't trust my words, so I just nodded me head. He paid for my food, and we went back to the car. I was hoping he'd just explain what I saw instead of making me ask but I guess he didn't see things the way I did. "Am I going to have to ask you what that was about or you going to just say it?"
