8.2 - trains

I, Lucy, Natsu, and Happy headed to the Magnolia Train Station to go to the place where our job is.

Lucy went to the ticketing booth to buy our tickets to...

"Carossa?" I asked. "Our job will be there? Never heard of it before."

"Four tickets to Carossa please," said Lucy as the lady in the booth typed something in a weird typing device and handed Lucy the tickets. "Thank you!"

We headed to the area where the train is going to Carossa.

"From what I know, Carossa is the western part of Magnolia," Lucy explained.

"Also, it'll take us 2 hours to get there," Happy added as he read the text in the ticket.

"T-two hours?!" Natsu exclaimed and started panicking. "This is bad!"

"Why didn't you asked Wendy to treat you Troia before we headed here?" I asked him. I saw the line in the Carossa Area starting to get long.

"I didn't know that Carossa is a town!" Natsu said. "I thought it was a restaurant near the guild."

Lucy and I started to laugh and Happy joined in. Natsu did nothing but panic.

After few minutes of waiting, a train started to stop and Lucy opened the doors and we got inside. We walked to a seat and I sat beside Lucy, while Happy and Natsu sat together. I noticed that a lot of people got inside so the train got full quickly so it started to run.

I opened the window by my side and felt the fresh breeze of the air, caressing my face.

"Oh, I love these types of trains," I said as I took a glimpse of the beautiful view of Magnolia and feeling the warm, fresh air.

"What do you mean?" Lucy asked.

"You know, our train in our world is very modern," I replied, still looking at the view outside.

"In what way?" Lucy asked again.

"Well, our trains there are manipulated by machines already," I explained as I faced her. "The trains are air-conditioned, already part of technology, everything is just so modern."

I looked down and started twirling the tip of my hair. I remembered my family and friends and the real place where I live. I started to worry. What if they are finding me right now? What if they are mourning about me right now? What if they are very tragic right now, while I'm here having fun without me not even thinking about where I really belong.

"Natsu is having his motion sickness again," Happy said.

"I think I n-need to puke r-right now," Natsu said as his mouth grew bigger and his face is turning purple. We laughed and chatted all the way to Carossa and I felt that I don't really think I should be negative about my thoughts right now because with my guildmates by my side, everything's going to be fine.

"Hello, Carossa!" Lucy exclaimed as we got out of the train.

"At last, after a long trip," Happy sighed and flew all around.

"Are you okay, Natsu?" I asked as I helped him with his bags.

"Yeah, I feel better than earlier," he replied as he tried to walk properly.

We rode a vehicle heading to Koaluei Village where our job is destined, as Natsu said.

"We've arrived," Natsu stretched his arms and grabbed our bags of the vehicle and we went out too. Lucy paid the driver and the vehicle went back to the Carossa Train Station.

The entrance says, "Koaluei Village" on a banner at the top. It has flowers and other ornaments as its decorations.

"What will be our job here by the way?" I asked Natsu as I touched my sword case (of course, there is a sword in there). He searched something in his bag and held out a scrolled paper. He took out the scroll and started reading the contents of it.

"Wanted: Mages. Help us! Defeat the thief of Koaluei Village in Carossa. Reward: 170,000J," Natsu stated.

"Thief, huh?" I said as I prepared my sword for battle.

"I'll take the 70,000J for my rent," Lucy said holding her whip.

"And I'll take the rest!" Happy said jokingly.

"Well, I'm all fired up," Natsu smirked.
