9 - the first's magic

"Ah!" I shouted as a very bright light hurt my eyes as I opened them. I closed them again, trying to get a hang of the pain. I can hear footsteps getting near me.... and stopped.

"I think she's fine now," A familiar voice said. I forced my eyes to open and saw a blurry sight of Porlyusica. If Porlyusica's here, it's possible I'm in her place.

"Hey Crystal," Lucy smiled. I rubbed my eyes and my sight adjusted then I finally saw a clearer view. Lucy and the others are here.

"Why am I in here?" I asked, getting up.

"You are in Porlyusica's place," Gray said. "Well, I mean we are."

"You fainted awhile ago and we were so worried," Natsu added.

"Remember your heart disease?" Erza asked. "If you are too sad or too happy, something will happen to you."

"We thought it came back again so we consulted Porlyusica-san," Wendy uttered.

"Yeah, I fainted," I bowed down my head and started to get gloomy as I remembered Elle disappearing right in front of me.

"Don't worry now, Crystal," Happy jumped by my side and touched my hand.

"We're here for you okay?" Lucy smiled. "That's right," Carla nodded.

"Let's just wait for Porlyusica-san to tell if you can go now," Wendy smiled.

"By you mean, we." Gray protested. I giggled. I'd like to thank my friends for cheering me up. Elle, if you were just here...

*TIME SKIP: PORLYUSICA SAID IT'S TIME FOR THEM TO GO*

"Alright, let's go!" Natsu uttered as he hopped outside with Happy.

"Thank you so much, Porlyusica-san," Erza said. I did too.

"Yeah, yeah. You can consult me anytime," Porlyusica said. "Just go now. I don't like the smell of humans."

"I know she'd say that," Lucy laughed.

We all went out of her home and started to walk away.

"So, how was the job that you took?" Erza asked, interrupting the silence.

"Yeah! Yeah! I want to know about it!" Wendy hopped eagerly.

"Well, it was great," Lucy replied.

"I think it's our first time to get an actual reward from our job," Happy interrupted. I laughed.

"Elle was the thief right?" Gray asked.

"Yeah," Lucy said in a low voice. "But, don't worry! She is really a good person. She just did all of those because there was nothing she can do anymore," I added and let put a smile.

"Hey can you tell us the whole story?" Wendy asked. I immediately nodded and started to narrate; I told them what happened as we entered the Kualuei Village, the Emersona thingy, the time where the thief appeared, the time where Gildarts peeked, and many more.

"Hey speaking of your battles, I can't seem to remember you bringing your sword back home with you?" Erza interrupted. My heart pounded so loud and my sweat kapt falling.

"Well, uh...." I said, with a nervous face and pointing my fingers with each other. "I broke it because of my anger."

"Cool," Erza finally said. COOL?! THAT'S ALL SHE CAN SAY?! I WAS SO NERVOUS THE WHOLE TIME DUDE, I thought.

"Hey by the way, your friend vanished. What's the cause?" Carla asked.

"Oh, yeah.I forgot to tell you," I immediately realized.

"Oh, listen to this. What I'm gonna tell you is pretty cool," Natsu said eagerly and started to explain. "Elle told us all of it was because of.... THE FIRST!"

"The first?!" Gray asked.

"Mavis-san?!" Wendy asked surprisingly.

"Yes! Because of the first's wisdom and knowledge, she knows that our world is just fiction. Also, she knows that there are people in the real world who really loves to go in our world. So because of that, with a very great magic power, she summons real people in our world and goes here exactly in Magnolia!" Natsu explained.

"Also, you are not only here because you will just hang around in Magnolia and have a great time here, you are here because you have a purpose. You have a mission," Lucy continued. "And just like what happened to Elle, if you have already accomplished your mission, you will go back to the real world."

"But if you said that you will be destined right exactly here in Magnolia, why did Elle-san landed in Carossa?" Wendy asked.

"Nice observation," I winked at her and started to explain. "Mavis has summoned numerous people here in the fiction world and she has almost drained her magic power but still she tried to summon people. Those people who were summoned with few magic power will not be destined in Magnolia but other places which results to failure. It's exactly what happened to Elle."

"That's right. Also, the first's magic power is no joke. It's very, very extreme and strong. If you did that summoning magic, it will take you years to rest so that you can do it again because it consumes alot of magic, stamina, and energy. A normal person can't do that like Mavis does." Happy stated.

"Like me for example. Elle was summoned in this world and it took years for Mavis to summon again. To be specific, she took 5 years to rest. After 5 years, she has completed her rest and already summoned people again, and it includes me," I added. "And one last thing, if a normal wizard/mage did that magic power, mastered or not, it will take you more than 10+ years to rest. Because Mavis is a special human form/ghost, she has the ability to rest for few years only."

"How amazing," Gray commented.

"The first is really incredible," Erza smirked.

"Of course. She's called master for nothing," Carla added.

After few minutes of talking....

"Hey! Wanna go to a hot spring?" Natsu invited us. "Aye! It's been a ling tiring day you know," Happy smiled.

"I do." Gray raised his hand.

"Me and Carla wants to go too!" Wendy uttered.

"Well, I can't say no to that," Erza said.

"I like that idea, Natsu!" Lucy winked and turned at me. "So Crystal, are you going or not?"

I nodded.
