I get down on my knees and cry on Keegan. I can hear Shay calling 911 and talking to the operator while Lucy goes and gets everyone else from the set. In what feels like an hour, the ambulance is finally here. They remove me from the floor so they can get Keegan and Shay pulls me into a hug while we watch them tame him to the ambulance. He can't die. No. No. My husband can't die.
"Let's go to the car, okay? We will go to the hospital." Shay says.
"Okay." Is all I manage to get out.
We go out to the car and don't say a word the whole trip to the hospital. Once we get there, I quickly run up to the counter.
"I'm here to see Keegan Allen."
"And whom might you be to him?"
"I'm his wife."
"What? You guys got married? Congratulations! Awe!" She says. I forgot that we were famous and hadn't told anyone about our relationship.
"Thanks! But can I see him?"
"Oh, um. Not yet. He is in surgery."
"Surgery? Why did he need surgery?"
"He had hematoma on the brain."
"Oh my gosh. How long will that take?"
"About 2 hours. But then he has to stay in the hospital for the next couple weeks."
"Is it life-threatening?"
"It can be. But thankfully we got to it soon enough, so it shouldn't be a huge deal. But he has to keep taking medicine to fix it after this."
"Okay. Thank you."
"Of course."
I walk back to Shay and tell her what the nurse just told me. She hugs me and we sit down. In about 20 minutes, Sasha,Lucy, Ashley, Ian, Tyler, Janel, Cody, Marlene, Oliver, and Bryan all walk through the door. Great. I have to tell and listen to this story all over again. Quickly I ask Shay if she will tell them. She just nods and waits for them to come over.
"How is he?" Marlene asks.
"He is in surgery." Shay says.
"What? Why?!?" They all ask.
"He had a hematoma on his brain, which was bleeding and causing him to pass out. They took him into surgery about 30 minutes ago to stop the bleeding. He should be out of surgery in about an hour and a half, but he has to stay here for the next couple of weeks."
"Oh my gosh. Troian, honey, are you okay?" Marlene asks.
I can't talk. I just can't. I look down at my shoes. I'll be okay, once he is okay.
"She is..um..having a hard time." Shay says, as she rubs my back.
"TROIAN, I'm so sorry." Sasha says, as she walks over and sits next to me.
I just sniffle and don't look up. This is going to be the longest 90 minutes of my life. I pray and hope that he is going to live. But like I have to say all the time hope breeds eternal misery.
