I get home and fill Keegan in on what happened. My dad should be here any minute, and I'm really nervous for him to meet my family. I gather the girls and Shay, who is still staying with us, in the living room just in time for the doorbell. I answer it and let my dad in.
"Dad! These are your granddaughters, Sophia and Cassadee. And this is my coworker Shay, who lives with us and helps with the girls."
"Wait, Troian. I need to talk to you, in private."
"Okay." I say, and we go out to the terrace to talk.
"Cassadee? Who's Cassadee?" He asks.
"Oh my goodness! I forgot to tell you! She's Keegan and I's daughter. We had her about 18 months ago."
"Another baby?"
"Yeah. And we have our own TV show, but you probably heard that."
"Actually, no. I never researched you after the first time, it was too hard."
"Oh, well yeah. It's good. You should watch it."
"Okay. I will."
"Well let's go see them." I say, and he walks into our living room.
Keegan has arrived there by then, and he speaks first.
"Mr. Bellisario."
"Mr. Allen."
My dad has always refused to call Keegan by his name.
"What can I do for you?" I hear Keegan ask.
"Well, son. I think it's time we talk."
"Alright. Where?"
"Let's go outside."
They walk outside and I sigh. This is either going to be really good or really bad.
Keegan's POV
Mr. Bellisario has asked me to talk to him in private. What in the world? I haven't talked to him once in my entire life, and am married to his daughter, not to mention that I'm the father of his grandchildren. We go to the Home and Gardening store, and start walking when he talks.
"Now, Kevin, you and my daughter are married, I see."
"My name is Keegan, sir, and yes, your daughter and I have been married for almost 3 years."
"Okay, show off. As much as I genuinely don't like you, you are family now, I guess. So I was thinking that you, Troian, Troians parents, and your parents, could go on a camping trip with the kids to bond. Starting tomorrow, since you guys are off work for only 2 more weeks."
"That sounds amazing, sir."
"Alright, go home and tell Troian that she needs to pack for a week-long trip out in the woods."
"Will do. And you want the kids to come, too?"
"Well we have..." I stop, realizing that he probably wouldn't approve of us having full-time nannies. "Never mind, the kids should come."
"It's settled then." He says, and then gets up and goes to his car. I walk inside and find Troian in the kitchen.
"Hey, so your dad and family and my family and our family are going camping tomorrow for a week."
"What?"
"It was your dads idea. We have to get my mom and dad and your mom and dad and round up the kids and go bond."
"Keegan! How could you agree to this?!? We are supposed to be relaxing and giving the kids a bit of normal before we start working again! This isn't normal!"
"Troian, we need to give these kids grandparents! They deserve it and before long they are going robe old enough to start asking questions."
"Okay, how long? 2 days?"
"A week. Again, your dads orders."
"Okay, then I better get to work, I guess."
