oh you can add a poll now? FUN!! will do it at the end of the story hehe. anyway, hi everybody. it’s been around 5 months since you guys last saw me. idk how to put into words what’s been going on but i hope you guys understand when i say that it’s been a lot. i’ve been overwhelmed with college, i’ve had to take pills to calm down, a very close family member passed away, exams were insane and i couldn’t cope well and then all the festivals started coming up. i’m trying to be regular now because while writing started as a passion to me quickly began to fell like a burden and the pressure that i was disappointing my readers was too heavy and difficult to manage. i’m trying to get better now so if i ever disappear again, pls still stay with me and have hope that i’ll come back (hopefully).

okay, with that, let’s get on with anaya and aayansh!!! pls go thru the previous chps since it’s been a while. if you find any mistakes in the chp or smtg ive missed, lemme know since its been a while since i picked up this book too!! alright, thank you. lets gooooo

The sunlight crawls across the sheets, warm and golden, resting on the curve of Anaya’s cheek. For a long moment, I just lie there — watching her breathe. The rise and fall of her chest feels steadier than anything else in my world. My hand hovers over her hair before finally brushing a lock away from her lips.

She stirs a little, frowning, as if the touch interrupts a dream. “Stop staring,” she murmurs, voice half-asleep, half-teasing.

I smile. “Can’t help it.”

The morning after feels unreal — quiet, gentle, like the world’s holding its breath. Her skin is warm against mine under the sheets, and I can still feel traces of last night written all over us. It’s there in the lazy curve of her smile, the softness around her eyes, the faint mark I left on her throat that glows like sunlight through silk.

When she turns to me, her hair spills over the pillow, messy and perfect. My chest tightens. “Good morning,” she whispers.

“Best one I’ve ever had,” I murmur.

Her laugh fills the room, soft and low. “You’re ridiculous.”

“Hopelessly,” I admit, leaning closer. I mean to kiss her — properly, like the fool in love that I am — but she presses a finger against my lips.

“Don’t. Morning breath.”

I chuckle, but she’s already hiding her face in the pillow. “Then I’ll just have to find somewhere else to kiss.” My lips trail down her shoulder, her collarbone, the delicate space where her neck meets her jaw. She smells like sleep and warmth and something that’s just her.

Her breath hitches. “Aayansh…”

“Hmm?” I mumble against her skin.

She sighs, somewhere between exasperation and surrender. “You’re impossible.”
