Most normal people wake up and often get ten minutes of screen time before getting up and starting their day. Coffee is a key factor in the many hours their body can keep going.

The other people are children that are forced to wake five times a week to repetitive sounds that often come from an object we call "cell phones".

I however have to wake up from either bickering from the five humans that live in our home, or by a pillow that lands straight on my face, again by one of the humans that live in our house. This morning I was stirred from my sleep in my bedroom by the sound of what sounded like four sets of feet. I try to think of who it could possibly be but end up coming up blank. Ever since Jimena, Daya, and Luna left to live in Italy, it's just been Gael, Noah, and me. I reach for the gun I keep under my pillow and prepare to face whoever is coming, but I completely forget my plans when a body suddenly lands on top of mine, and the smell of strawberries hits my nostrils.

I automatically recognize the intruder, before I can hug her properly three other bodies come crashing down on me just like the first one. I open my right eye and see Jimena, Daya, Luna, and Gael right on top of me, all with grinning expressions on their faces. I give them the best glare I can manage without giving away how amused I am with the situation above me. Despite their ages, they always seem to do the most childish things. I know that deep down it's because of the weight that each one of us has carried since a young age. I believe that we can act like the kids we were; we were never given the chance to be with each other.

"What are you rascals doing here?" I ask, my voice thick with sleep.

"We came to bring you happiness before you turn into the grumpy version of you that we meet," Jimena said with a toothy grin. "How would you be able to find a girlfriend if you're so grumpy?" If only they knew that I was only interested in one.

"I fear he wouldn't be able to find a girlfriend even if he were the most handsome, smartest, and richest man on earth." Daya said with a fake concerned expression, to which I threw a pillow at her.

"What is it with you guys throwing pillows at me?" Daya said with a frown.

"Maybe stop saying obscure things; women would kill to date a man with this face and skills."

"What skills?" Gael asked, "The only thing you know your way around is computers."

"That's not the only thing I know my way around," I state with a smirk before adding, "You should know that I have very skilled hands, fingers to be specific."

"Gross," Luna said with a grimace, the area above her eyes wrinkled in response. "Too much information, Thiago. I could have lived without knowing the skills my brother has in bed." Luna stared at my hand with so much disgust it was comical; she started to get up when Noah appeared in the doorway of my bedroom looking just as tired as me. Proving that he was woken up by the noise these four made in the span of ten minutes. The moment he saw the three girls that changed us from who we were to who we are now, his eyes widened before they lit up with a happiness that was rare to see in the type of world we live in now.
