11: Flu

Lily hovered over the toilet as her insides became her outs. She didn't even notice Xavier standing over her,pulling her hair back. Coughing,Lily sat up. "We don't have to go sweetheart. We can stay home for the day. You need the rest." Xavier told her.

She shook her head. "Kayla and Archer are getting baptisted. I can't miss that." (Baptisted is a certain function of Christianity were the child is blessed in the water in the name of Jesus.)

He sighed and watched her rinse her mouth out. "At least go to the doctors afterwards." Xavier argued. Lily pursed her lips in a thin line as she nodded. "Alright. Fine." Lily muttered. He pressed his lips against her temple before walking away.

Xavier sat on the bed that they now shared, staring at the closed bathroom door. He hated when she was sick. Her temper got worse and she was like a toddler. Xavier just listened to hear hum to the radio. His head began to pound as his heart raced. Gripping the edge of the bed, Xavier sat there as his vision became blurry.

"You okay,X?" Lily's voice asked breaking him from his thoughts.

"I'm fine." He muttered and stood up trying to ignore his dizziness.

She rubbed his shoulders and kissed his cheek. "You ready to go?" Lily whispered. He just nodded,which he regretted after the room start spinning.

Lily couldn't help but glance at Xavier every few minutes. "Babe, you sure you are fine?" She asked softly.

"I'm fine. Just tired love." He muttered pulling into the church parking lot. She leaned over and kissed her husbands cheek. "Alright." She said even though she didn't believe a word he said.

Kayla and Archer attacked Lily with tight hugs. "Are y'all excited?" She asked the two children. They both nodded viciously smiling. Xavier picked up Kayla and kissed her cheek. She giggled and played with his hair.

"let's go find y'alls mama." She smiled carrying Archer.

"I've been looking for you two everywhere! Your mother nearly killed me!" Carter exclaimed at the children, who just smiled guiltily.

"Sorry daddy. But we found Uncle X and Aunt Lils!" Kayla protested,gripping her uncle.

Carter just sighed and smiled. "I'm glad you two could make it." He shook hands with both. "Kennedy has been squealing about y'all making up for a week now."

"It's good to have her back." Xavier smiled. Lily just blushed silently.

Kennedy caught sight of her husband and friends. She jogged up to them. "Hey guys! I can't believe so many people showed up for their baptism. I forgot how much family we had." The red headed laughed.

"Shocking huh?" A familiar, annoying voice commented.

Everyone looked over to see Jessica with her arms crossed. She had a snotty look on her face that Lily wanted slap off. They just watched her wink at Xavier. "Some hoes never learn." Kennedy muttered.

"Excuse me?!" Jessica screeched.

Lily's mother, Diana, walked up to them as well. "Jessica, this is a church. If you act like a slut in the house of God then I will push you out myself. Lord please forgive my words but you will not ruin this occassion." She sassed then walked away.

Lily sat on a church pew holding Xavier's hand. She watched as the twins walked up to the priest. Archer was in a white button up shirt with white slacks. Kayla wore a thick white dress that no one would be able to see through when it got wet.

"Archer,please come here." The priest said.

Xavier watched until his vision got blurry. He pinched the bridge of his nose as every noise in the church buzzed in his ear. Trying to ignore the pain, he focused himself to open his eyes.

The priest kissed the boys head then poured some water over him. "This young soul has been baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit." Everyone cheered as the boy walked to his mom and dad. "Kayla, your turn princess."

Xavier felt a burning in his chest. He hadn't ate anything so it couldn't be heart burn. He just sat there as the pain radiated throughout his entire body. Every part of him felt as if it was on fire.

The priest kissed her head like he did Archer. The water was poured over her as well. "This young soul is baptised in the name of the Father, the Soul, and the Holy Spirit." As she walked with a teethy grin, the guest went wild with cheers again.

Hunching over, Xavier fell on the ground with a groan. His body was shaking in pain as he cried out. "Xavier!" Lily cried out as she held onto his hand.

"Someone call an ambulance!"

He could hear the people crowd him as he laid there. Lily stroked his hair softly. "It will be okay baby. Be strong. Help is on the way." She cooed in his ear.

"Get a cool wash cloth!" Kennedy shouted as people scrambled around to help.

Kayla cried as she watched Xavier shake on the floor. Archer wrapped his tiny arms around his twin as Carter helped Xavier.

"The ambulance is on their way."

"Is he going to be okay?"

"What is wrong?"

"He has a fever!"

As everyone panicked, Xavier let the darkness take over his body.

I apolgize greatly. I have had writers block, no time and no motivation for this chapter. I really hope the next chapter is better and the wait isn't as long. The new school year is really kicking my butt.
