12. Treatment

Lily sat by her husbands hospital bed, concern painted on her face. The doctor had said that he had the flu and was putting a lot of stress on his body. All he needed now was rest. It has been a day and he still wasn't awake. She just sat there waiting patiently.

"How is he holding up?" Her mom asked, walking in.

Lily smiled softly. "He is fine. I just think I am to blame. He has been taking care of me but no time to take care of him." She whispered.

Diana stroked her daughters hair. "He loves you an awfully lot." The elderly woman stated. "And I love him." Lily whispered.

"Do you remember anything?" Diana questioned.

Lily shook her head. "But I don't need the past, if I have him in the future."

"That's my girl." Diana said,patting her shoulder. She sat beside her daughter looking at her son-in-law. Lily kissed his hand and held it close.

Xavier groaned and looked over at them. "Morning." He muttered,closing his eyes again. Diana laughed, "Goodmorning, Sleeping Beauty. Sleep well?"

"Yea," he nodded.

Lily just stared at him not saying a word. Diana patted her knee. "I will let you two talk." She said before leaving the room.

"You are angry with me." Xavier stated. She shook her head slowly. "Not mad. Disappointed. You need to take care of yourself better. You could have put yourself in a coma by doing what you did. You aren't superman! Your body needs rest." She told him.

"I wasn't aware I was overworking myself!" Xavier protested.

"Then pay more attention then! We just got eachother back, I'm not ready to lose you after we finally are together!"

"Do you honestly think I want to lose you again?! Do you think I want to go back to that hell of not being able to hold you? To kiss you? Or even say i love you without you freaking out?! I would rather die then go back to that!" Xavier yelled.

Lily sat there, staring at him with wide eyes. He sighed and moved so he was sitting up. "I don't want to lose you either." Xavier whispered. She crawled beside him in the hospital bed and hugged him gently. "We won't lose eachother again." She said softly in his ear.

"I pray for that everyday."

"Aaaaweee!" A voice interrupted them. Both looked up at see an amused Carter and a teary eyed Kennedy with a hand over her mouth. "Really guys?" Xavier asked annoyed.

"Sorry,bro. No hospital sex for you. The nurses would here your heart monitor and think you are dying." Carter snickered.

Kennedy rolled her eyes but smiled. "I am glad your okay,X. You had us all worried. Especially Kayla." She told him.

"I'm sorry for all the fuss. I am fine now." Xavier said still holding his wife.

"It's all good dude. I love the hospital smell." Carter teased. Xavier punched his best friends shoulder. "You are full of remarks today, Carter." He stated.

"What can I say? I am the man."

"More like woman."

The two women laughed as the grown men bickered about who was manlier. "What did we get ourselves into?" Kennedy asked shaking her head.

"I have no clue." Lily shrugged, giggling uncontrollably.

Xavier groans for what seems like the fifteenth time in the past minute. "Groan again and you will be facing a living hell." Lily warned.

"Being in this bed is a living hell!" He argued.

Lily put her hands firmly on her hips. "You have been in bed for only a day." She stated.

"Thing about that time in dog years. I've been in this bed forever." He whined like a small child. Lily rolled her eyes and placed the bowl of soup on the nightstand before sitting down. Xavier began coughing viciously. "That's why you are in bed." She whispered and handed him a glass of cold water.

"I know." He muttered drinking slowly.

Lily stroked his hair as she hummed. "Thank you." Xavier whispered. She just looked down at him as he nuzzled his face inbetween her breast. "For what?" Lily asked.

"Taking me back." She just kissed his head and held him as he fell asleep.

The next Lily sat at her mom's. "You look so pale honey. Are you okay?" Diana asked her daughter.

She just shrugged. "I have had a really bad stomach ache lately. I've been throwing up and everything." Lily muttered.

Diana's eyes lit up as she smiled at her daughter. "Come with me sweetie." She squealed dragging her to her bedroom.

Five minutes later, Lily is sitting at the kitchen counter. Xavier walks in. "What's up guys? Is everyone okay?" Xavier puffed out. He looks at the two. His mother-in-law was grinning while Lily just stared at the wall.

"I'm pregnant,X."

I know, another short chapter. But inspiration has just been dull lately. I don't have that much time to write so I try to get as much as I can. I hope y'all liked it.
