"Whoa, amazing! It's only the third day of your training, but look at how much you've already improved!"

Hawks beams at you, proudly clapping his hands as you propel yourself through the sky in small but controlled bursts.

A small smile tugs at your lips, and you're certainly grateful for his praise, but this requires total concentration. You can't afford to get distracted—not even for a moment. Of course, Hawks will always catch you, as he's already done several times by now, but the longer you can keep this up, the better.

It's all about conditioning your body and steadily pushing past your limits. That's quite literally what Plus Ultra means.

"I think I've got it," you huff, but sadly, you're not entirely sure you believe your own words. Flying depletes your strength at an absurd rate. Hawks is incredibly supportive and makes sure to celebrate all your progress to keep you motivated, but you know you're nowhere near ready to be able to use this ability on a regular basis.

Still, at least it's starting to take form. At least, slowly but surely, you're carving out a new path.

And when you look back on your life in this world—those years spent in the Shie Hassaikai, when you weren't even sure how you'd be able to become a hero—then truly, the strides you've taken are immeasurable. You should be proud of yourself for making it this far. Not just with your Quirk, but with all the people who are part of your life.

"I can't anymore," you suddenly gasp, and almost immediately, your star fragments scatter—only for Hawks' arms to wrap around you.

He offers a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, that was great. Like I said, it's only been three days. You've got plenty more time to keep improving."

"Thanks," you chuckle weakly. It really does concern you that you run out of energy this fast, though. You wouldn't say your stamina is particularly low or anything, but it's clear now that you'll need to invest a lot more time into this ability if you intend to have it as part of your arsenal.

But for now, Hawks is right. At least you're making some amount of progress. That's still better than nothing.

"Down we go," Hawks muses, and while once again holding you in a bridal carry, he gently lowers both of you onto solid ground.

As always, Tokoyami lets out an audible sigh of relief once you're back down. You're not really sure why he gets so worried every single time, considering how fast and reliable Hawks is, but it's nice to know how much he cares.

He doesn't seem to enjoy flying all that much yet—which, again, is very ironic. But in any case, both of you still have plenty of time to keep improving.

If you had to pick one major event that's been on your mind recently, then of course, it would have to be the whole Hosu and Stain incident.

You're already three days into your workplace experience, but it hasn't happened yet. It obviously has to happen within this week, but you just don't remember exactly when. Not every single detail is precisely ingrained in your mind, after all. You're amazing, but even you have your limits.

So, yes, you've obviously been thinking about it, but you're not quite sure what's going to happen this time.

Thanks to Chisaki, Tensei has been healed. Iida is overjoyed, of course, and still endlessly thankful for your help, but he ended up choosing that small agency in Hosu after all. It seems he's still frustrated with how Stain struck his brother down—or maybe he's worried that other heroes might also fall victim to the Hero Killer and wants to look out for them.
