I'm lonely and you're lovely and I just want to be with you right now even if you don't want to be with me

Paige heaved the last of her overflowing cardboard boxes into her new apartment, breathing a sigh of relief and collapsing into the chair beside her. Checking her rose gold watch, she scowled - 1:09pm. This meant she only had 21 minutes to change out of her I'm-moving-house-and-cba-to-look-nice clothes, and into something slightly more presentable for her first meeting with her new agency - Modest! Management.
((in this story im pretending modest! is for all social talent aka bloggers/vloggers/singers/actors etc. because it will make more sense ))
Paige was so surprised when she got the email asking to go for a meeting in their NYC office, and even more when they decided to sign her as their "New, up and coming Social Talent Star!". Who knew starting a small lifestyle blog in your bedroom could lead to such big things?
Quickly rummaging through her messy suitcase, Paige grabbed a white blouse to throw on over her black leggings and a pair of brown leather ankle boots. With no mirror to check her appearance in, she shrugged, grabbed her black backpack and rushed out the apartment door in a hurry.
--
Being late for your first meeting is definitely not a good impression, Paige thought as she jumped out of the yellow taxi cab, practically tripping up on herself. She scurried towards the entrance of the tall, modern office building, weaving her way through a small crowd of teenage girls waiting for some cute celeb to waltz out.
Maybe I'll meet someone famous while I'm here, Paige's mind raced as she approached the front desk.
"Hi, I'm Paige Rose. I have a meeting with Modest! Management?" She spoke timidly to the middle aged women who sat behind the counter.
"Ah yes! Our newest addition - Floor 5, Room 9 honey!" She smiled.
Paige expected most people to be rude and obnoxious in New York, as they were made out to be by every movie ever made, yet she already felt at home after a mere 2 hours of arriving.
She thanked the lady and hurried over to the elevator.
"Oh, and I hope to see you around Paige!" The women shouted, catching her attention as Paige continued to walk straight into the elevator, colliding with a tall foreign body.
"Shit sorry!" She exclaimed, quickly backing into the opposite corner to the boy she crashed into.
"Don't worry," He shrugged. "Which Floor?"
Paige stood star-struck as she watched the familiar boy start pressing random floor numbers on the panel. "3, I-I think?" She stuttered, still in shock.
"Are you new here by any chance?" He chuckled, leaning back against the wall as the doors shut and the lift began to climb floors.
"Yes, and a tad bit lost too." She replied, blushing and avoiding eye contact.
"Well I'm Luke." He reached out to shake my hand.
"I know! Hemmings right?" I'm Paige." She shook his warm hand, just as the doors began to open.
"Well, I'll see you around Paige." He beamed, revealing his perfect teeth.
Paige just nodded, blushing again and quickly exiting the small space, in awe of what just happened.
"I think I might like it here." She muttered as she took a left turn down the corridor and attempted to find room 9.
