Two days ago...

"Janine expects us to come." Bruce W muttered. "But Alina is convinced she's worthless to us."

"The past is the past." Dinah receited quietly. "It's not who she is anymore."

"I knew."

Everyone looked at Natasha, who looked disappointed in herself.

"I knew Fury was hiding something about her when he first introduced her to me. So I did some research. Her real name is Genevive, but she legally changed it to Alina Faye."

"Why didn't you tell us?" Bruce B asked quietly.

"I confronted her." She continued, "But she didn't attack me, just started crying. When we were in private she explained everything to me."

"Which is clearly why you know so much about her." Diana input weakly. Bruce W put a hand on her arm and she smiled softly.

Artemis stood up and fished something out of her pocket, holding up a USB. The one Alina gave to her at Magic Kingdom.

"I think we should look at this now." She murmured, handing it to Tony, who plugged it in.

A large image of Alina appeared, and she looked slightly dishieveled.

"Hi..." She began awkwardly, chuckling at herself before continuing.

"If you're watching this, I'm probably dead our dying, great timing Artemis." joked, running a hand through her hair.

"Anyways, the reason I made this was for the memories I had with you, like the song we wrote, but considering you're probably with the others, I made it a little montage."

A small smile appeared on Alina's fave and she sighed, looking to the side.

"I knew HYDRA would capture me at least about 10 weeks after I found out they would, it's another thing I didn't mention." She chuckled nervously. "I didn't tell you because I was planning to meet them alone so no one could get hurt."

Alina's lips disappeared, and in place, a thin line appeared, showing off the single dimple her right cheek.

"Janine probably told you all about my true past, and you guys probably want to kill me right about now, and Nat and Fury were the only ones who knew, but don't blame them, I was so desperate to keep my past concealed."

She bit her lip and a tear escaped her eye, and she looked down.

"Just... Here's the clip." She whispered.

The clip changed and Alina and Artemis sat on the floor of what looked like the gym, a guitar in Alina's grasp and a mic on a stand infront of her, but not covering her face while Artemis held one in her hand.
