Water War

Dick Grayson was sitting in a lounge chair, poolside. He was quite happy and content until something cold and wet, exploded on his chest. 

"A water balloon, who would throw a water balloon at me?" Dick looked up and saw his best friend/crush Barbara Gordon, she had an evil grin on her face and was holding two water balloons. She threw one at his head. 

"This is for ditching me last night and this one" (she threw it at is pants) "is for everything else you missed!"

"What was the first one for?" Dick asked.

"That one was for fun" she said with a smile.

"Your paying for that Gordon." Dick began to chase Barbara across the huge Wayne Manor backyard than he had a brilliantly stupid idea. Dick whipped out his phone which had an app he could use to turn off lights and lock doors in the Manor. The app could also control the sprinklers, he tapped the "on" button and suddenly the backyard came to life squirting everything in sight with cold water.

"RICHARD!" A very annoyed Barbara screamed. Dick began running for dear life until, he reached Alferd's flower garden. Dick sat in the grass and began panting, the run had taken a lot out of him. Dick turned his head to look at the roses but when he did he saw Barbara soaking wet with a hose.

"Babs" he said softly "you don't have to do this." All she did was smile as she squirted him with the hose.

"Alright circus boy" she said once she was done squirting him, "truce?"

Dick smirked as he lifted Babs up and lay her on his shoulder. 

"Dick, where are you taking me? Tell me, TELL ME RIGHT NOW!" Babs tried to struggle out of Dick's grip but her attempt was fruitless he because Dick was very strong. Dick walked, and walked, and walked, until he reached the place where the fight started, the pool. Dick than walked to the edge and dropped Babs in. After about 10 seconds bright red broke through the surface of the water.

"Are you finished with your swim Mrs.Gordon" Dick asked with a mock British accent.

"Almost" she replied. Barbara grabbed Dick's hand and pulled him in the pool. Dick just smiled as Babs floated next to him.

"Master Richard" Alferd's voice stopped Dick from staring at Babs, "if told me you wanted to go swimming I could have got you proper swimming attire."

"It's fine Alife a little water never killed anyone, my cloths will dry" Dick said. Alferd nodded and handed Dick and Babs warm fluffy towels. 

"Thanks Alferd" the best friends said at the same time.

Dick took off his shirt and wrapped the towel around his waist. Barbara bit her lip as he did so, using all her will power NOT to thing about his muscular arms and chest. Dick sat down on the lounge chair where the water fight began and was joined by Barbara. The lounge chair was made for one person to sit comfortably so, when Barbara joined Dick they were very close, so close that Dick could feel Babs breathing on his shoulder. Dick wrapped his arms around Babs as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

Dick Grayson was sitting in a lounge chair poolside, he was holding the girl he cared for the most in the whole world in his arms, he was happy and content. At this moment nothing, not ever a water balloon could stop his happiness.
